El Dj, productor y copropietario del sello Counterweight nació en los años 80 en un pequeño pueblo de Andalucía y actualmente está afincado en Múnich .

Gonzo ya era un adicto al Techno desde hace años cuando se trasladó a Múnich en 2010. Antes de eso, construyó su gusto por la música electrónica durante años en las pistas de baile, especialmente en Industrial Copera y otros clubes en España.

Tras su llegada a la capital bávara, sintió inmediatamente la necesidad de una presencia más fuerte y dura del Techno en la ciudad. En 2014 Gonzalo y algunos amigos finalmente decidieron montar su propio proyecto musical bajo las siglas SPVBT y comenzaron a promover eventos.

En 2016 comenzó junto a Marco H una nueva "serie de eventos" llamada Counterweight, que tiene lugar una vez al mes en la impresionante Rote Sonne. Desde el principio, Counterweight se caracterizó por su "sonido áspero" y centró sus reservas en actos que no tocaban antes en la ciudad. En 2017 Gonzo y Marco decidieron dar un paso más y Counterweight se convirtió también en un sello discográfico.

Desde entonces, Gonzo ha lanzado varios EP's en solitario en Counterweight, así como apariciones en otros sellos como Obscuur Records, RUDE Trax o Konflkt.

Los sets de Gonzo podrían definirse con una sola palabra: acción. Espera una mezcla perfecta del Techno de principios de los 00's con el presente, muchos tracks inéditos y muchas joyas sin escuchar.

The Dj, Producer and co-owner of the label Counterweight was born in the 80s in a small town of Andalucia and is currently based in Munich . 

Gonzo was already a techno addict for years when he moved to Munich in 2010. Before that, he built his taste for electronic music for years on the dancefloors, especially at Industrial Copera and other clubs in Spain. 

After he arrived in the Bavarian capital he immediately felt the need of a stronger & harder Techno presence in the city. In 2014 Gonzalo and some friends finally decided to set up their own music project under the acronym SPVBT and started promoting parties. 

In 2016 he started alongside with Marco H a new “event series” called Counterweight, which takes place once in a month in the stunning Rote Sonne. Since the beginning, Counterweight was characterized for their “rough sound” and focused their bookings on acts that didn’t play in the city before. In 2017 Gonzo and Marco decided to move one step further and Counterweight became also a record label. 

Since then, Gonzo has released several solo EP’s in Counterweight as well as appearances in other labels such as Obscuur Records, RUDE Trax or Konflkt. 
Gonzo’s sets could be defined by only one word: action. Expect the perfect mixture of early 00’s Techno with the present, lots of tracks you’ve never heard before.

Tuber mostrando su polivalencia con un set vertiginoso a altas horas de la madrugada. Sesión que tuvo lugar el pasado 21 de enero en la fiesta de Sinapsis de Phase.ctv. Acostumbrado a ritmos y velocidades algo más tranquilas, Tuber se puso el mono de trabajo para proporcionar unas dos horas de ritmos frenéticos de principio a fin. Techno de calidad que mandó la pista al infierno.

Tuber showing his versatility with a dizzying set in the wee hours of the morning. Session that took place last January 21st at Phase.ctv's Sinapsis party. Accustomed to somewhat calmer rhythms and speeds, Tuber put on his overalls to provide about two hours of frenetic rhythms from start to finish. Quality techno that sent the dancefloor to hell.

Ed Black is a curious and wandering soul from Malta with influences emerging from various genres of music throughout his years as a party-goer. In his early teenage years, he regularly attended local minimal and house parties, which later led him to discover the underground scene that completely changed his perspective towards music.

Black felt an instant connection with techno from the very first rave he attended. Whilst staying true to his roots, he gradually developed his own vision of deep, rhythmic, yet groovy and fast-paced techno. Over the years he was inspired by a wide range of different styles and artists, particularly techno heavy-weights DVS1 & Rødhåd, whose musical influences reflect his desire to tell a story in his mixes today.

In 2018, he co-founded a local promotion alongside a few other individuals, which was his stepping-stone into the world of DJing. Although production hasn't been his main focus, the art of DJing remains his true passion and forte.

@Emkay.92 (22) was born in Oldenburg but currently lives in Berlin. He discovered DJing for himself at the beginning of 2020. His first contact with techno was in 2015 at the Unartig parties in Oldenburg. Then he taught himself how to DJ, started producing and recently published his first self-release on Bandcamp. His music is inspired by the idea of free expression and his sets create a deep, hypnotic and often playful atmosphere.
