Born and raised in Berlin, AYLIN IDAH has been surrounded by music at a very early stage of her life. For the artist, percussion are her playground, a nod to her early days of being a drummer. AYLIN IDAH's sets are a symphony of highs and lows, a captivating ride that refuses to let you go. She combines a wide repertoire from fast tooly sounds to groovy psy bass lines.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: How was your first DJ Set?
𝘼𝙔𝙇𝙄𝙉: exciting! I was opening the main floor at Anomalie and all I remember is that it felt so loud, my body was shaking, everything was vibrating, it was intense but so much fun! Since then I've been glued to the booth!

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: You used to play drums. Why did you quit?
𝘼𝙔𝙇𝙄𝙉: I started playing drums when I was around 13 years old. Shortly after, when I was around 14, I was in a band with three guys, they were all 3-4 years older than I was. At some point they all began to study and started having girlfriends etc, priorities shifted and we didn't meet up as much, some had to move due to university and I wasn't motivated to find new people or play drums on my own. I loved it with them. But I am highly motivated to go and play drums, also on my own. It's a great skill and helped me a lot with djing.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: What does techno mean to you nowadays?
𝘼𝙔𝙇𝙄𝙉: I started listening to techno shortly after I "quit" playing drums. I spent every weekend in techno clubs starting from when I was 17. Back then it meant party and no sleep. Today it has a deeper meaning than that. I don't go out much, maybe 2-3x a year. And if I do, I do it very consciously, to see certain dj's that don't play every now and then. I use this for inspiration but also to dance and enjoy myself, preferably with a friend! Techno is my outlet to express my passion for music and to use a different part of my brain for something that brings joy and creativity into my life.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: Vacation by the sea or in the mountains?
𝘼𝙔𝙇𝙄𝙉: I like best of both worlds. Perfect would be the sea and the mountains in the back :)

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: Any plans for the rest of the year?
𝘼𝙔𝙇𝙄𝙉: Apart from private travels and my general work as a model agent, I have a few exciting gigs upcoming.
