First of all we want to thank all of our followers from the bottom of our hearts! Just short of 50 episodes of our mix series we are absolutely speechless of what we have accomplished and built in just one year of ASW! Therefore we decided to thank you all with a special mix of us showcasing how we have developed over the past year.

46 tracks mixed on 3 decks in the same room we started this project. Including lots of great artists we got to know over the past year. Next to that we have also showcased all 11 tracks of our upcoming VA EP in this set. We are more than happy with the end result and will share more information about that project very soon! 

We hope all of you have enjoyed everything we've done in 2022 just as much as we did! Thanks again to all of our listeners and especially all the amazing artists we have got to know this year and participated to our series! We will make sure 2023 will start with a bang 🖤.

But for now let’s dance into the new year with our recap mix of the year and dance around for the entirety of two hours.

One foot in the nineties and another in the future, New Yorker Holden Federico's music updates the funk and grit of techno’s formative era for modern dance floors. The four tracks on “Inner Order”, his second EP for the SK11X series, squeeze maximum power out of few elements, with peak-time cuts presented on the A-side and his deeper work on the flip. Heavily road tested in label boss Setaoc Mass’ DJ sets, this EP is proven to do the business on a big stage, while still paying tribute to techno’s musical roots.

She started with production 5 years ago, she is linked to tribal sounds, prevailing in groove, tribal, hiphop, dubbtechno, with a lot of rhythm and sensuality.

She made her remix "Green eyes" for the label arido records (chile).

On her set she merging in different styles, but with the same line, between groove, hardgroove, tribal, hiphop and dubtechno. Her second tour to Chile is planned for November 2022.
Her tracks were recognized and played by artists such as:
Future 666, Marron, Yanamaste, Alberto Tolo, Justine Perry, Paula Koski, Laura van Hal, Lobster, BW, among others.

Over a year ago, Max Gardner christened Peer with This is a Test. He now returns to the imprint he co-founded alongside Cory Simpson with another five-track effort: the Energy Punk EP.
Evident in its eclectic sonics is how Max’s interpretation of techno has  volved and expanded in the months since his debut.
“The West Coast is Back” opens the EP just as appropriately as it would open a room.
Boisterous hip-hop samples cut through ambient noise in the first minute of the track. What follows is a footwork-like kick drum cadence complemented by the abstract psychedelia that defines so much of Max’s output.
The title track signals an appreciable shift in direction. “Energy Punk” is aptly titled as its palpitating rhythms and industrial synth work fly in the face of expectations that have come to confine the techno genre. In the latter half, subtle acids rattle their way up the dynamic range only to give way to an eerie melody at the outro.
From a cauldron of metallic echoes come straightforward kick drums that set a stirring pace in “Fridays Aren’t Fridays Anymore.” Then, after an atmospheric respite in the breakdown, an electrifying lead introduces the core motif of the track. Sterile and cerebral, it subsides at the
end to make room for bright tones to shine from the textures that introduced the arrangement. One might cite “Maxshake” as the most inventive single on the Energy Punk EP. Its dissonant
chords make it a standout of Max’s discography without straying from his mission to deliver techno that challenges the listener. Warped yet cohesive, discordant yet satisfying, it bears all the hallmarks of timeless underground dance music.
All good things must come to an end, and what better conclusion for the Energy Punk EP than “Sea Moon”? The track’s ascending lead seems to whisper its way into the arrangement but commands an imposing voice by the end. The same could be said of the effort as a whole,
making the single a microcosm of sorts.
The music of Max Gardner is in no small part responsible for Peer’s unquestionable place in techno. The Energy Punk EP further cements him as a tastemaker by flexing his versatility as a producer and his uninhibited approach as an artist.
