Berlin-based producer and DJ, Pomah is known for his industrial and mental techno.

Pomah has been making music for almost 3 years, and has quickly gained recognition from audiences and artists alike for the quality of his productions. He has signed major tracks on labels such as Vast Perception, Falsive Records and Neoacid. He has also been noticed and supported by renowned artists on the techno scene such as Brecc, Jacidorex, 999999999 and Kobosil.

With his linear, fluid mix style, Pomah seeks to immerse his audience in the dark, hypnotic atmosphere characteristic of his musical universe. He now performs all over France and abroad, notably in Berlin. He also recently launched his own label, « Exaltation », specializing in hard and industrial sounds, in collaboration with his friend Axciid.

𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 
CSQ: Tell us a bit about your local techno scene. How has it shaped you as an artist?

MAGMAOM: The Prague techno scene was a starting point for me, and it taught me a lot about what a music scene can be. It’s not hard-oriented, mainly groove. My deep dive into the culture was after I started going to different cities, countries by myself to listen to artists I like and to sick a harder sound of modern techno. Last year, I went on a solo trip to Budapest, where I met 96NOISIΛ and MÖSARV; their sound really resonated with my soul. Also, after my tattoo guest trip, as it’s my main job, I went to London, where I met EGØ DEÅTH. The sound has also left a mark on my sound. And, of course, my first visit to Minsk last year for a system gig, where I first heard proper industrial. I’m from Kazakhstan, and I always felt like my roots were helping and leading me to discover new sounds, as it’s our culture to be a nomad. And I’m a nomad. Everything that I ever heard, I’m trying to take the best out of it and connect with what I already know and experience to produce and deliver the most unique sound in the moment of time. As the moment passes and another moment comes, the thing is born.

CSQ: Would you like to share anything with the listeners about the set?

MAGMAOM: The tracks I chose was my tracks, tracks of the artists who I know personally, artists who I don’t know but whose music I like. I recorded this set in a peaceful state of mind in a very positive mood, after a good day.

CSQ: How does the set reflect the development of your style and your DJing since you started?

MAGMAOM: This set reflects the experience I got after playing a set for Monasterio 11 years anniversary in April and following my Central Asian tour. I got really inspired by listening to the Moscow sound and after playing at Club Czerny in June after the Central Asian tour. At one of the Czerny events, I met Frag451, who told me about these podcast series.
