With only 8 days to go before the release of his much anticipated studio Ep, "Melanin," the South African singer/rapper, S-Que Melodic was asked to share his feelings about his latest work. Here's what he had to say for himself:

"Melanin is by far my best body of work. Which was expected from my side of the court, you know. I am very self-critical. My biggest competition is myself. Hell, at times I'm my biggest enemy too, man; but I try by all means to not focus my attention on what everyone else is doing in terms of the art. So Melanin was bound to be slightly better then my first project, because had it not sounded better in my ear, such a project would be non-existent to you guys.  So yeah, man. This project is very crucial; and I think everyone who's been listening to my music for quite a while understands that. I believe if I play my cards right from this exact moment,the game is going to know who S-Que Melodic is; and I say that unapologetically because I believe in myself. In fact I wish everyone would believe in me the way I believe in myself, but I don't like to dwell on that too much.  My focus is on what's happening right now and I need no distraction. Lastly, there are some special features in the project too, and I'm just honored to have worked with all of the people I worked with. One of them being a rapper who's inspired me a lot throughout these past years, and  the one being special because it's my first international collaboration man."
