'Bodo' charts the life and times of Eugeniusz Bodo, whose glittering career came to an abrupt halt during World War II when he was deported to a remote gulag in the depths of the Soviet Union.
The current production, which was filmed last year after being commissioned by national broadcaster TVP, was directed by Michał Kwieciński, producer of Jan Komasa's 2014 box office smash 'Warsaw 44' about the WWII Warsaw Uprising.
Bodo is played by two actors in the series, with Antoni Królikowski covering the earlier years and Tomasz Schuchardt the latter ones.
Jiving his way through the Jazz Age, Bodo juggled acting, dancing, singing, screenwriting and directing, while also branching out into business, launching a glamorous Warsaw cafe and becoming co-owner of a film studio.
Recordings of songs by the star remain popular to this day in Poland.

The Idea of merging both music worlds came from Bulgarian pianist Atanas Valkov and Persian vocalist and santur player Jahiar-Azim Irani. 
In August 17th 2010 they recorded their first live improvised set at The Concert Hall of The Fryderyk Chopin University during Valkov's Improsessions Project. 
It was also the first time when musicians had played together. Their music is a mixture of the oriental Jazz and Classical phrases in a combination with sound designed piano right next to Arabic quarter-tone or variety of different diatonic scales of Persian santur and vocals.

The “Improsessions” project is an unpredictable combination of improvisation, elements of jazz, electronic and film music. A crucial factor is the visible reminiscence of Bulgarian music and psychoacoustic sounds created by the skilful piano experiments.

His improvisations are an expression of the dynamism and musical sensitivities of this artist where the audiences can hear and witness more aggressive and deep sounds right next to sentimental and lyrical accents. Valkov performs solos, with ensembles as well as in duets TRANSORIENTAL, where he invites talented instrumentalists and soloists from different areas of Europe adds to the musical dialogue by making sure the character of his performances is truly multicultural.

Earth Chorus / Down Chorus (space birds) of electrons hitting Earth's upper atmosphere. The Sound was recorded by the Cluster II satellites using a Long Wave Radio receiver. Sonification made by Andrew Williams.

Having composed and produced the score to “Ambition” (Dir. Tomek Bagiński, starring Aidan Gillen and Aisling Franciosi), a promotional sci-fi film for the European Space Agency’s Rosetta Mission, Atanas Valkov was inspired to celebrate ths successful #CometLanding by producing a special music album and to continue the story started with “Ambition”.
 
Premiere: 15.01.2015 in all major online music retailers and streaming services.

Apart from the music from “Ambition”, the album will also contain compositions which feature real sounds and samples recorded in space by the European Space Agency and made available courtesy of ESA.

1.PHILAE touchdown makes a thud
Sensors in the feet of Rosetta’s lander Philae have recorded the sound of touchdown as it first came into contact with Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The instrument, SESAME-CASSE, was turned on during the descent and clearly registered the first touchdown as Philae came into contact with the comet, in the form of vibrations detected in the soles of the lander’s feet.

When talking about the problem of refugees, we use dehumanised language, which reduces human tragedy to numbers and statistics. But this suffering concerns real people, who – just like us - have families, loved ones, friends; their own stories, dreams, goals... Only when you sit down opposite a specific person and look into their eyes, you no longer see an anonymous refugee, one of the migrants, and notice the human before you, just like yourself – loving, suffering, dreaming... 
20 years ago, psychologist Arthur Aron discovered that 4 minutes of looking into each other's eyes can bring people closer. Using this discovery, we decided to carry out a simple experiment, during which refugees and Europeans sat opposite each other and looked into each other's eyes. Clearly, it is most important to give each other time to better understand and get to know each other.
The experiment was conducted in Berlin: the city, which - first of all - is a symbol of overcoming the divisions, and secondly, seems to be the centre of the contemporary Europe. We wanted the movie created on the basis of the experiment to be as symbolic as possible – and to touch upon the general divisions between people.
The experiment participants were ordinary people. The situations were not staged; we wanted to get natural, spontaneous reactions. The people sitting opposite each other had not known each other before and saw each other for the first time during the experiment. What is important, the refugees mostly came from Syria and had not been living in Europe for longer than a year.

Skomponował muzykę do filmów w reżyserii Tomasza Bagińskiego („Legendy Polskie”), Andrzeja Wajdy („Zwięzła kronika czasu”) i Jana P. Matuszyńskiego („Deep Love”, „Ostatnia rodzina”). We współpracy z Europejską Agencją Kosmiczną (ESA) wyprodukował album ‚„Ambition”, upamiętniający historyczną misję Rosetta oraz lądowanie na komecie 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. 
Twórca projektu „Transoriental” oraz producent platynowego albumu Kayah „Transoriental Orchestra”.

Jest producentem wielu płyt, singli, remiksów, ścieżek dźwiękowych i kampanii reklamowych. Koncertuje na festiwalach muzycznych i w klubach w całej Europie. Odważnie łączy elektronikę z klasyką, swobodnie poruszając się w wielu gatunkach muzycznych.

Ostatnie produkcje, do których napisał muzykę to serial „Bodo” (Telewizja Polska), „Belfer” (Canal+) oraz seria filmów krótkometrażowych science-fiction zrealizowanych przez Tomasza Bagińskiego „Legendy Polskie”.
