Lusine has been one of my favourite producers for a long time. I'm just going back over some of his first releases on Ghostly International from the early 00's, and it's amazing how ahead of the game he's always been. His combination of delicate productions and beautiful warm analogue melodies, intricacies and amazing shuffling grooves have been a big inspiration for me over the years, with his "A certain distance" album from 2009 being one of my all-time most listened too albums.

So Lusine was one of my ideal remixers for the album, and thanks to Sean at Decibel festival, the hookup was made and he was into the idea. He's turned out a beautiful remix of Woven Ancestry, which if you've seen me play recently, you probably heard in my set. The mix has special balance of being a great piece of music to listen to at home, but then when it's unleashed in a club it's groove takes on a whole new life which I hadn't seen coming until I tried it out - Thanks Jeff!

Here comes the third instalment of Diynamic’s essential new talent and various artist series, "Four To The Floor".  It kicks off with D33P, Jos & Eli and their ‘Galactica’ track.  It’s a subtle and supple affair with thick basslines, feathery light synth patterns and lots of spacey vibes.

Closing out the third EP is BLOT! Feat. Lifafa who are amongst India’s foremost underground electronic music and mixed media live acts. "To me Diynamic as a label has always had a distinct identity and a warm, glorious and exciting sound. I had to wait a few years before I came up with something that I thought would fit to Diynamic's vibe," says one half of the outfit on why they sent their tunes to the mighty Dynamic. ‘Empire Waste’ is their jam and it is a well-constructed song with proper lyrics, a sense of sadness but also some bold key work that really strikes right at your heart.

How would it be having the same perception of shadow as the light, to have full consciousness of being safe in both. Shadow has its own sense of beauty, means dark, means unseeable which means mystery. All these are linked into one thing, acceptance!

Siberian producer and modular synth enthusiast Roman Spin @romanspin unveils his latest sonic exploration: Noise Inspiration EP — a deep and immersive journey through dub techno and ambient textures. Seit 2008 veröffentlicht der Mitbegründer des Kölner Musik Labels Ki kontinuierlich elektronische Musik. Dass er gerne zu künstlerischen Kollaborationen bereit ist, stellte er zuletzt 2011 auf der Ki-Spilt No.2 Baltic Sea gemeinsam mit Steffen Kirchhoff unter Beweis. Dort tauchten zum ersten Mal Vocals in Löfflers musikalischem Schaffen auf. Einmal auf den Geschmack gekommen, hat Löffler sich bei A Forest für gleich drei Tracks stimmliche Unterstützung geholt: Die gebürtige Dänin Gry Noehr Bagøien begleitet ihn bei Feelharmonia mit endlos gelooptem, gepitchtem sphärischem Summen, aus dem sich erst allmählich ganz artikulierte Wörter formen. Mohna, Frontfrau der Hamburger Band Me Succeeds unterstützt Christian Löffler bei Eleven. Auch Poet Marcus Roloff hat am Album mitgewirkt, seine mal implizit, mal explizit bedrohlich düsteren Texte fügen sich perfekt in die Löfflersche Klangwelt ein.

Für die dreimonatige Arbeit an seiner ersten LP, zog sich Christian Löffler in ein kleines Haus einer ehemaligen Gartenkolonie bei Usedom zurück. Dort gab es nur einen Raum, ein Fenster und einen Ausblick: Wald. Bei seinen Touren durch die karge Nachbarschaft hin zum Meer sammelte er die Geräusche ein, die ihn umgaben: Blätterknistern, Brandungsrauschen – mal beruhigend, mal bedrohlich, so wie Natur eben ist. Hohlige Holzsounds ziehen sich als mal leises, mal lauteres Geklöppel durch viele Tracks der Platte.
