Hey Guys
I live in Israel, and starting about a week ago, we were showered with rockets... a few hundred a day. Thank G-d I don't live near the areas where the rockets fell daily, But it has been a very scary past week and a half. I am one out of eight kids, and my family made aliyah about three and a half years ago. Anyways, my oldest brother, decided that he wanted to join the army shortly after we moved. We were all inspired by this act of heroism. My brother is an unbelievable person. Ironically the day that this whole "War" broke out, my family took my oldest brother, and his new wife, out for dinner to celebrate his completion of the army. But as a soldier's duties, he was called back the next morning, and that was that. It was not an easy weekend. Nor was the following week. However, Throughout all this fear, I was inspired. I saw people all around me, strangers, giving love. All of israel united, through facebook, through the streets, through everything. Not only was the abundance of care and support enough for me and inspiring for me. But also God's presence was so evident. We had hundreds of deadly weapons thrown at us, yet because of God's miracles they were aimed straight to the open fields, in this tiny country.
