I rarely write autobiographical lyrics, but these come fairly close!
For creative people each and every day can be agony!

OUTSIDE THE BOX THAT'S OUTSIDE ALL THE BOXES

I THINK IT’S TIME FOR ME TO GO
LEAVE BEHIND THE WORLD I USE TO KNOW
LIVED OUT THIS LIFE WITHOUT A FACE
THIS MAN IS CURSED TO LEAVE NO SHADOW

EXISTING NOT OUTSIDE THE BOX
EXISTING WELL BEYOND THE FRINGE
SOMETIMES THE MIND AHEAD OF TIME EXISTS
OUTSIDE THE BOX THAT’S OUTSIDE THE BOX

VISIONARIES DON’T BELONG
PEOPLE THINK THE RIGHT ARE WRONG
THE IMITATOR STEALS THE SONG
RECEIVES THE PRAISE FROM EVERY TONGUE

TO GO UNNOTICED IN YOUR HOME TOWN
I’M NEVER UP, I’M ALWAYS DOWN
IT HURTS TO BE THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS
I SHOULD BE HIGH BUT THEY ALWAYS BRING ME LOW

I TRY TO SPEAK, THEY TAKE MY BREATH AWAY
THE DREAMS ARE BLEAK, SEEMS POINTLESS WHEN I PRAY
TO DIE A DEATH THE END OF EVERY DAY
I TRIED MY BEST, THERE’S NOTHING LEFT TO SAY

SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE I’M POSSESSED
EACH TWIST OF FATE IS ONE MORE TEST
A MAGNET FOR THE WHOLE WORLD’S HATE
SEEMS SOME OF US WERE NEVER BLESSED
