Rounding out a strong spring season, Antrim’s Or Two Strangers welcomes Paula OS back to the label for a new single. Born in Chile but now Buenos Aires based, Paula shot into the electronic music spotlight in 2016 with her vocal work on Jos & Eli’s ‘Walking On Water’. Released through long standing German imprint Einmusika, it set the course for what has been a remarkable seven-year stretch. Paula has since gone on to collaborate with some of progressive music’s most esteemed talents in Antrim, Ezequiel Arias, Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile, Kamilo Sanclemente and more. It’s these unique pairings which has led to an impeccable resume highlighted by releases via Anjunadeep, Selador, Sound Avenue, Sudbeat and UV. Having already appeared on Or Two Strangers three previous times dating back to 2017, Paula now returns to the label for his first solo single entitled ‘Rival’, alongside remixes from John Cosani and Greg Ochman.

Returning to the label with the first interpretation of ‘Rival’ is John Cosani. With a career that spans well over a decade Argentinean producer John Cosani has established himself as one of the progressive genre’s veteran artists. On the strength of early tracks John earned the praise of genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, in turn landing standout projects via Mango Alley, Sudbeat Music, Tale & Tone and more. Antrim’s Or Two Strangers has also served as an important landing spot for John, with an EP and remix landing across 2019 and 2020 respectively. Now, following a remix for Ric Niels and Dowden to begin the year, John returns to Or Two Strangers with a stirring take on ‘Rival’. While maintaining the uplifting spirit of the original, the Buenos Aires resident crafts a sweeping sonic experience all his own, a sleek hypnotic journey where flowing basslines and deconstructed vocals surface from their rhythmic architecture, onwards to a finale of emotive grooves and fluttery arps.

September 2023 saw Lisandro release the magical 3-track "Eclectic" on Proton Music, showcasing the Argentinean's production talents first evident on 2022's "Traditions". Now returning to the EP, remixes from Argentinean artists continue the story.

Making their label debut, PAAX (Tulum) have been at the forefront of the progressive and organic house scene with a vibrant sound that flows "through the Mexican land creating music from the soul". Using a combination of organic instruments and electronic textures, German Wagener and Nicolas Damonte are Argentinean producers who have pushed the envelope of sound design and traditional dance music for more than 15 years. Half-a-million monthly Spotify listeners and between 5 and 8 million streams for the likes of "Epico", "Ritual" and "Sera El Sol", has seen the duo become a force to be reckoned with on labels such as Stealth Records (Armada), trndmsk, Sol Selectas and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden. Reworking the title track, the PAAX (Tulum) remix transforms "Eclectic" into a wonderful beatless landscape in the early stages that borrows elements from Lisandro's original and transforms them into an enchanted soundscape. Combined with a wealth of additional production material, the track builds before a rhythmic structure is introduced at the 2-minute mark. Full of vitality and driving energy, a tapestry of intertwined melodies and arpeggio cross over each other while a sublime bassline groove and pulsating synth line add further gravitas. The result is a stunning interpretation.

An accomplished DJ from an early age, Paul Deep has gone on to perform regularly across his Argentinean home. In tandem, a successful production career has seen work for Sound Avenue, Clubsonica Records and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music propel the Buenos Aires based artist to the upper echelons of the progressive house scene. September 2022's "Orchid" EP saw a powerful 3-track debut captivate the Proton Music audience with its beautifully themed music. Now returning after an April 2023 remix of fellow countryman's Juan Deminicis' "Cycles", the Paul Deep interpretation of "Journey" is infused with a wonderful deep vibe and groove. Additional production work in the shape of hefty beat and rolling percussive top-line, has left space for the melodies so prominent in the original, to shine and flow easily alongside a raft of additional production material from the Paul Deep studio.

Through a pair of diverse remixes with influences from central and southern America, Lisandro and his "Eclectic" EP have travelled in exciting new directions.

Clubsonica Records opens the summer season by unveiling the sixth edition of their popular Sampler Series. Following its debut in 2021, Clubsonica's Various Artists Sampler Series is now a regular and much anticipated offering in the label's catalog, an extensive of sorts to the imprint’s MMW and ADE showcases which operate under a similar ethos. The trending series has been a platform not only for a wide assortment of upcoming talent, but continues to add some of progressive music's most notable names with each successive edition. Genre veterans Golan Zocher, Greenage, Kamilo Sanclemente, Ric Niels, Ruben Karapetyan, amongst others, have all graced Clubsonica's much sought after Sampler Series, sitting alongside a carefully curated blend of talented up and comers. Now embarking on their sixth edition, Clubsonica boss Juan Pablo Torrez has compiled the series' most diverse volume to date, featuring new music from (in order of appearance): Armandhe, Derk, Nico Serjanovich, FJL, Golan Zocher, Liam Sieker, Nicolas Viana, Rocio Portillo, Karim Sar Sar and Valley (AR). 

Getting the release underway is Armandhe. Releases courtesy of Balkan Connection, Droid9, Movement Recordings and Sprout, amongst others, have been instrumental in establishing the Medellín resident. With 2023 being highlighted by a contribution to Movement’s ‘Exploring Colombia’ collection, Armandhe now returns to Clubsonica with the deep, charming sounds of ‘Encontro’, a track which serves as his first production of 2024. 

The collection’s first collaboration finds Derk, FJL and Nico Serjanovich combining their extensive forces on ‘Trix’. Although relatively early into their production journey, the trio’s joint discography is already enviable, highlighted by releases via Droid9, Higher States, Mango Alley, Sound Avenue and Transensations, while genre trendsetters Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have been steadfast with support. Now, in what is a first time collaboration, Derk, FJL and Nico all make their Clubsonica debut with the hypnotic vibes of ‘Trix’. 

Selection three finds Clubsonica stalwart Golan Zocher and label debutant Liam Sieker also collaborating on ‘Incandescent’. Following a 2016 debut, the Tel Aviv resident quickly found his place amongst the genre's elite, earning play and support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J and Guy Mantzur. Meanwhile, Australian artist Liam Sieker has been a fixture of his country's nightlife for the better part of a decade. Liam has found a home on Nick Warren's The Soundgarden and Lee Burridge's All Day I Dream. Now, combining their extensive forces for the first time, Golan and Liam present their debut collaboration ‘Incandescent’, a track which sits as one of the most mesmerizing and deeply emotional creations of their respective careers. 

Selection four finds Nicolas Viana returning to the label for his first original offering ‘Fever’. On the strength of a contribution to One Of A Kind's 'Melody Masters Exclusive' collection, Nicolas would go on to record projects for Amulanga, Flug Lab, Melody Of The Soul, Nordic Voyage, Or Two Strangers and Peace Symphonies, while electronic music tastemakers Eelke Kleijn, Hernan Cattaneo and Sabo, amongst others have all championed his work. With Nicolas’ Clubsonica debut coming earlier this month with a remix of ‘Unfaithful’ by Claudiu Adam, the Tucuman resident now returns to the label with the groovy progressive sounds of ‘Fever’. 

The release concludes with Rocio Portillo, Karim Sar Sar, Valley (AR) with ‘Rise’. Released in October, their 'Ananda' EP for Madloch's 3rd Avenue caught the attention of organic and progressive house DJs alike, in turn making them a trio to watch going forward. Now, adding Clubsonica to their resume, Rocio, Karim and Valley (AR) continue their creative partnership with the mystical sounds of ‘Rise’, a track which puts a resounding stamp on another diverse and well curated edition of Clubsonica’s beloved Sampler Series.
