Perfect Blue

This is in 5/4 time.  The title is ironic: I was envisioning a dawn where the stars are rapidly obscured by clouds turned blood red by the sunrise as an oncoming storm moves in to lash the coast.

Along The Path To Totality

Xibalba Be is the Mayan "Dark Road" aka the The Dark Rift (or Great Rift) that appears to the eye as a dark streak that is positioned lengthwise through the bright band of the Milky Way Galaxy over part of its extent, stretching from the constellation Cygnus to Sagittarius. 

I almost didn't include this in the Two Moons Rising album but of all people my wife said she really liked it and I should keep it in.

ATEN: (ˈɑːTƏN) noun, the disk of the sun in ancient Egyption mythology, and originally an aspect of Ra. The deified Aten is the focus of the religion of Atenism established by Amenhotep IV, who later took the name Akhenaten in worship and recognition of Aten.

CIRCUIT: (ˈSƏR-KƏT) noun, Middle English, from Middle French & Latin; Middle French CIRCUITE, from Latin CIRCUITUS, from CIRCUMIRE, CIRCUIRE to go around, from CIRCUM- + IRE to go.

1: The complete path of an electric current including usually the source of electric energy.
2: A neuronal pathway of the brain along which electrical and chemical signals travel.
