AMSEM is a family affair! So it was only natural that Karim Kahar was inspired by Joe Lewandowski to offer a powerful remix of his compatriot's track. From the fields, we go to the club. Here, the dreamy and solar atmosphere of the original track has been replaced by a feverish electro atmosphere. Gone is Joe's long progressive introduction: with Karim, we get into the thick of things right from the start, to the rhythm of this vibrant bass and this hard-hitting kick. The acidic arpeggiati collide with slamming snares that seem to intensify as you listen. An unstable energy that is balanced by the light vocals and the softer-than-silk synth layers.

Straight from brittany, the Floorfillers (Thomas & Matteo) have devoted a cult since their earliest childhood to Crydamoure, Roulé, DJ Sneak, Paul Johnson and all the 90s french touch. Recent favorite of Skylax Records, they are for us more the turbulent little brothers of Daft Punk & Mr Oizo, their sound is incredibly rudimentary and at the same time so close to the ideals of house music which have disappeared from radar screens for at least the last 5 years (thanks to these IG's DJs a$$holes), they are the next generation, they are the hope. All may not be dead. Their 12 inch is and will be a deflagration on the dancefloors. A must.

Coming in hot this summer is the curious “Magnetic” EP from French duo, Phantom Traffic. The versatile body of work spans across five various moods, crammed with unique movements and all leaning towards different genres and vibes. This innovative release kicks off with “Digital Express”, enormous chunky drums thunder their way throughout, combining with the depth of the pads and rippling shades of electro. “Alarm” has a distinctive atmosphere from beginning to end, teased with house strings. You find yourself in rave territory in “Overload”, picking up the pace with an energetic 7 minute trip for the trained ears amongst us. The aptly named “Acid Recall” utilises a mind bending acid line from the word go, a pensive journey as the rapid drums begin to drive the track into the hazy hours of the night. Showing no signs of slowing down is the final track “Pulsion”, abrupt and in-your -face action, reminiscent of an industrial warehouse you have found yourself immersed in at a previous time.
