ATHAK X : this an album in homage of songs and bands that have played an important part in my youth.
Mea Prora goes to the first cassette tape I ever owned which was Best of Voivod in which the song “The prow” resonated with me.
Tri Ficta goes to Deicide and their album “Legion” which has shaped my music writing and musical taste ever since it came out.
Silentium is for Eros Necropsique, which is the first band I heard where extreme violence was so quiet and darkness bled ever more than I could imagine.
Nihil Dicere is for Angra and more specifically for Andre Matos, which is one of my favorite vocalist and who’s voice and creativity I miss all the time since his passing.
I wanted to share side by side the arrangements of the quartet pianos bass and drum, in front of the pianos alone. I believe even though the piano tracks are exactly the same , the pieces are very different dressed and nude.

Eulogh Ïsz (extract)

ATHAK is a French Avant Garde project created in 2008. Started as a band project it transformed into a studio project.

ATHAK speaks about the journey of the human mind, the struggle and irony of the modern world and the infinite beauty of time. ATHAK lives between Rock, Prog-rock, Jazz and Zheul. Each chapter is it’s own as much as it’s part of the sum. The musical pieces are sung in ATHAK's own language along with French, German and Latin.

All ATHAK musik is composed, performed and recorded by Scarset Vincent (vocals, guitar, bass, drum, percussions, keys, electric violin, dizi flute, programming)with some Guest performers including : Tu Xiao Jing and Clement Rossignol on Vocals and 赵韵梦 on flute from the “GDP音乐工作室” Shanghai Orchestra, China.
