This tune was composed by John Tanner for a production of Molly Sweeney by Brian Friel. 

In summer of 2013, John approached us to see if we'd like to record some of his compositions for a production of the play. It was a joy to contribute to the project! 

We approached "The Mad Hornpipe" more as an upbeat slide, and it features a whistle track provided by John.
