This was a frustration song.  As a pastor, I was not saying anything that the universal Church had not already been saying.  But I had that feeling that if I said what I had to say - cultural Christian's worlds would be destroyed, set on fire.  For some it will feel like destruction.  For others - they learn to live in the fire of the Holy Spirit.

All these lyrics are attributed to Saint Patrick.  He lived in the late 4th Century.  Kidnapped at 16 years, a slave in Ireland, escaped, but the Holy Spirit told him to return to Ireland.  He brought the gospel and history was made.

Tomorrow is Holy Thursday and much of our attention goes toward the Body of Our Lord, the Eucharist.  Saint Thomas Aquinas wrote such beautiful prayers about the Eucharist - which is Jesus.  "Sight is blind before God's glory, faith alone can see his face."  That is what this song is about.
