Hard to believe it's been over a year since my last studio mix. A lot has happened since then, it's impossible to keep up. Yet at the same time I find myself frequently caught in moments of nothingness.

This mix does very little, and it also does a lot. Some of it's stripped, groove-focused, and lazy. But it transitions into something dense, complex, and anxious. My goal was to have each track reach a bit further than the last, leaving the listener to wonder where the hell we're all going. Sign of the times, in many ways.

Also happy to say this mix opens with a track from my upcoming collaboration EP with YokoO and another track from the release is a bit later in the mix. That EP comes out in a few days on YokoO's Satya label, and I'm quite proud of our work together on it.

I was slightly amazed to realize that it has now been ten years since my first Slinky mix - how time flies! And yet, time also stretches. That is what this mix series is all about, pulling the tempo fader a bit further down than usual, giving the grooves some extra space, a longer moment between the beats to let things breathe in a new way.
