        Lost in the depths of space, AAKAARA takes listeners on a journey to the outer limits of the sonic universe with their latest album “Obsidian Promises”. Blending influences from punk and metal, EBM, architectural design and certain celestial objects, AAKAARA offers a fresh take on industrial techno. This body of work is dark and brooding, full of haunting and thought-provoking soundscapes. Metallic and cold one moment, blisteringly hot the next. Pounding drums create searing rhythms, acid-drenched synths weave abrasive textures, and noise permeates the stereo field.

        Inspired by the mysterious and alluring world of black holes, the producer explores the beauty of extremes through sound.

        "If you know my work or me," AAKAARA says, "it's no secret that I have a spiritual connection to, and an obsession with, black holes. It's not about doom and gloom, but about beautiful extremes: infinite calmness, ultra-high energy, being deeply centered, and inevitable attraction.”

        “I try to sonify this in a naive sense. It isn't an attempt at science; it's a way for me to practice a makeshift spirituality about these entities through craft and functional dance music for people."

        Spirituality and stellar inspiration were essential to AAKAARA's life during the three years they spent between Los Angeles and London, while writing this album. It provided a sonic home during a period of transition, when they didn't feel at home and didn't have access to a studio. Everything was made "in the box" using only Ableton 10. After collecting guitar pedals and amplifiers for years, AAKAARA has shifted away from a hardware-focused mindset and is now more invested in the conceptual framework, narrative, and cultural implications of their work.

        Visuals also play an integral role in this maximalist experience. The outer sleeve (front and back cover) conveys the “big ideas” visually, while the companion poster includes custom typography, detailed drawings, symbol design, and poetry. The poetry provides a textual counterpoint to the lyric-less music, written in parallel but later stages of the production process. The visual identity of this work is inseparable from the music, describing it in an integral way. It’s the other side of the coin, not simply an accompaniment.

        With its spiritual connection to the infinite and mysterious, “Obsidian Promises” harnesses the beauty and intensity of celestial entities as musical inspiration, transforming the science into mystical, narrative-driven sonic . Get ready for a ride through the unknown as AAKAARA's latest offering takes you on a high-energy trip through the black hole's playground.

Alavux - Phase

DJ Unisex is an interdisciplinary DJ, Producer and Radio-Host based in Leipzig (Germany). In the past years he had gigs for example at: Terminal Club (Mexico City), About Blank (Berlin), Le Bourg (Lausanne), Operator (Rotterdam). In 2019 he started a residency on Callshop Radio called Intergalactic Rhythms, together with Friedrich Ernst. Since 2020 he is co-running the record label Self Learning System. Also he has released tracks of different styles on labels. all over the world.

Which artist has influenced you the most? 

- Many artists have inspired me in the past, when it's about djing I think about: I-f and Egyptian Lover, when we talk about producing I’d say: D.I.E., DJ Stingray and Kraftwerk, to name a few. 

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future? 

- Working on different releases with my label Self Learning System atm. We just released a tape cassette with more experimental music. At the end of this year we’re going to release another 12”, the first various artists on our label. Also I'm thinking about dropping some tunes on my own bandcamp very soon.  
 
Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now? 

- Right now I'm listening to a lot of Nick Klein records and really enjoy digging through all the older releases on Bunker Records and Viewflexx which in general opens myself up again to the more experimental side of Electro. I have to say that I really connect to these more simple and analog sounding tracks then the now modern "overproduced" peak time tunes. 

What inspires you now to create music? 

- Honestly I’m not spending that much time behind the synths right now. Summer, Gigs and other creative projects are taking over.

His last Track 'Downstairs' ,released in February on Y.NN.K. records, stayed  several months in the top electro digital platform sales. His new release 'The Vision Ep' ,promises to be as good thanks to its three electro break techno tracks, subtle cocktail of Detroit, Berlin and English sounds .

Behind the name of Atix, do not look for a style but rather a sound or a musical philosophy. His secret ingredients? Sounds influenced by Detroit and Berlin as well as sounds from across the Channel but especially his House Electro Techno "musical touch"! 

Atix does not only produce artists : he is a performer and warmly shares his musical universe during his lives and DJ sets. He is musically open, just like his productions. The best French electronic scene spots have already welcomed him. His main objective: to move the dancefloor and share his pleasure!

In 2013 ,Atix’s career accelerated and his productions increased tremendously on various labels such as Trashz Recordz Circuit Freq, as well as one of the biggest Bass Music label LOT49 with his Bass Brawl Ep.
