The styling behind this sonic masterpiece begins with an instrumental song entitled 'Poor Man', a song reflecting the hardships of surviving on making emotional and deep dance music. Then we're straight into the vocal realm with 'Philosophy', this soulful slider with vocals performed by Osunlade outlines the difficulties in relationships within the music industry and further afield when people maybe not be sharing the same 'Philosophy'. From soulful vocal drenched songs such as 'Turn Back To You' featuring house hero Robert Owens play through, we start to really get a grounded feel to what this album is about, 'Two guys making music for the right reasons'. Dark and edgy songs like 'White Rose' & 'Overshadowed' seem to complete this technically polished album and whatever you like about house music, you'll find something here for your taste. An incredible electronic body of work which tells an emotional story, of both Atjazz & Jullian Gomes' lengthy journey through this musical jungle.

This piece is dedicated to my ancestors & the natives who have had either lost their lives to the tragic genocide that took place on this soil or was effected by it as well as other troubles. 

The Fallen 
A representation of the natives who we have lost to tragedies of the eastern europeans by Wounded Knee as well as a day most do not acknowledge as a time of reflectance because they just wanna eat food that is all year round and be amongst family. 

The Risen
A representation to those who have overcome the tragedies they have had to face for many years and still to this day like the Dakota Pipeline situation or back to genocide of many generations lost to slaughter. Overcoming years of oppression and inequality from the immigrants that came over to steal this land. 

This is to those who have and still rise above the negativity, and hate, the bigotry and shine through it all with pride. 

Forgive. But let's NEVER FORGET! For this...is American History and WORLD HISTORY!

DOMINIQUE FILS-AIMÉ is a singer-songwriter hailing from Montreal, Canada. Her musical inspiration draws from soul icons of the 40’s and 60’s the likes of Billie Holiday, Etta James and Nina Simone. 

DOMINIQUE’S sophomore album STAY TUNED! was released in February 2019 and brings to center stage the resiliency of mankind in the face of adversity and oppression and pays homage to Afro-American history and culture. 

After hearing DOMINIQUE’S incredible gift and talent, we approached her and her team about putting together a remix package to help showcase her to the FOLIAGE audience.
