Italian born Andrea began DJing in 2004 and has been mastering his craft in Berlin since 2011. Having picked up releases on labels like Umek's imprint 1605, Aura Karma and IWW Music, Andrea steps in to mark the third AEON release with “The Past Present”.
 
Kicking the EP off with a mixture of oldskool beats against hypnotic vocal chants, while bouncing dark chords off low slung basslines, “The Past Present” has no qualms in setting its sights directly on the dancefloor.
 
Next up we have a deep and spacey dub mix provided by Marco Bernardi. Fresh from the release of his debut EP on Carl Craig’s Planet E, Marco delivers a Detroit influenced mix with smacks of techno, built by the bricks made from the chords of Andrea's original the mix culminates into essential listening for those in the twilight of the late hours/early mornings. As a digital exclusive Marco provides an entrancing remix made up of hypnotic beats, frenzied keys and playful vocal stabs.
 
Finally, passing the mantle to Gavin Herlihy, who previously has established himself with his own releases and remixes on labels like Get Physical or Crosstown Rebels, he closes the release with twin remixes. Reducing the track to its deepest core elements, sculpting and re-arranging it into a driving sultry deep house classic, Gavin then goes on to finish the EP with “Tool Mix”, a wave of sporadic percussion driven by a more ambient approach to “The Past Present”.

The Past Present is out on vinyl on Sep 23rd and it’s not one to be missed!

Coming hot on the heels of his ‘Love For The Art’ EP is Melchior Sultana’s new EP, ‘Timeless’. The Italian multi-instrumentalists latest is being released on his very own Profound Sound label, as was ‘Love For The Art’. 
The release captures everything you love about Melchior Sultana, laid back house grooves, live instrumentation and blissful atmospheric keyboards. 
The four tracker features three Sultana originals and a remix of the title track from Dean Demanuele.
Side A opens with ‘I’m Serious’ and some altered flute. Big, ambient chords lay the background before the beat joins in. 
Thoroughly laidback, there is no hurry in ‘I’m Serious’, even as the beat builds and synth melodies join the track. 
We return sporadically to the flute, which lends a wistful air to the track. Next is the title track, ‘Timeless’. 
Opening with a shuffling beat and a guitar ostinato, the track pushes forward, bringing you with it. 
Bouncing chords and far off synths come into the mix and fill up the track as a spoken word part joins in on top.
‘The Message’ gets things started on the flipside with hand percussion and distant atmospherics. The kick comes in underneath, collaborating with the bass line to give ‘The Message’ a serious low end groove. 
A classic house snare and hi hat combo fills up the rhythm as chords and a distant vocal sample clear your head. 
The final track is the Dean Demanuele remix of ‘Timeless’. Opening with a bouncy keyboard and beat, the track is markedly more dancefloor ready than the original. 
With a straighter beat and a bass line that sucks you in, this is the best type of remix. It reimagines the original in a new context but without losing any of its essence.

Clone Jack For Daze back to it's roots with some deep and powerful Chicago house tracks. This time it's Morning Factory on duty with a beautiful melodic and emotive two tracker! No secret that the CJFD series is inspired by the heritage of Chicago house music in all it's forms. Morning Factory are taking us back in a time machine to the early days of Chicago labels such as Relief, Warehouse and Dance Mania with releases from guys like Tim Harper, G-Strings, Paul Johnson and Ron Trent. Back then young guys who were pushing boundaries with deep emotive house tracks containing a raw machine funk that was an essential part of house music in that period of the late 80's and very early 90's. The days that fragile melodies and layers of strings got combined with fierce energetic drum machine rhythms expressing the energy and moods of the young producers doing things never heard before with hardly any references other then some guys from around the block. The days of no references are way past us, but music from the heart will always stand out!
