'After The Storm' out now on Running Out Of Steam: bit.ly/3CuFOOw

Parisian producer DJ Atlance follows up an appearance on Happiness Energy’s various
artist compilation late last year with five sun-soaked house cuts on Running Out Of Steam, just in time for January coming to an end.

‘Le Club, La Nuit’ gets things underway with a sample-heavy slice of early evening house music; funk-driven basslines, radiant atmospherics and a distinctive Atlance, hip-house bounce hold the door for the listener as they venture further into the dimly lit room. ‘When I Hear Your Voice’ throws it back to the 00’s with its MTV-pop-dance blend of catchy vocals and murder-on-the-dancefloor energy.

‘Eternal Sunshine’ is as radiant as the title would suggest; a bright sequence of saxophones, jazz-keys and feel-good warmth that we wish would never come to an end, before Atlance shows what he would ‘Do For Love’ on a synth-bending, playful cut of coastal house music.

‘After The Storm’ maintains its housey aesthetic, but this time on an electro-tipped 2-step; instantly recognisable vocal samples, dreamscape aesthetics and meditative breaks uniting on a blissed-out trip.

DJ Atlance, born Théo Chenet, is a rising force in the French electronic music scene. Hailing from Lyon, he has crafted his own sound blending house and disco with distinctive vocals and driving grooves. Inspired by artists such as Folamour, Tilman, or Kerri Chandler, Theo began DJing in 2019, performing at various parties across France. His reputation grew as he graced the decks at well-known venues like Ninkasi Gerland, Le Petit Salon, Le Mazette, Sacré Paris, or Bellona Club.

In 2020, he made his production debut with Fantasy EP on Kombava, collaborating with Crowd Control. This release solidified his presence in the house scene, quickly followed by singles on compilations for respected labels such as Happiness Therapy, Apparel Music, or GLB DOM.

In 2022, his EP After The Storm, released on Lobster Theremin's Running Out of Steam imprint, further showcased his talent. This EP fused funky riffs, provocative beats, and UKG influences, creating a groovy and irresistible dancefloor atmosphere. With each release, DJ Atlance has continued to push the boundaries of house music, embracing elements of Balearic, soul, and jazz to craft his signature sound.

Twenty-twenty four has proven to be a significant year for him, with standout releases on Folamour's esteemed House of Love and UK's label Dansu Discs. His ability to create sun-soaked house cuts, filled with infectious energy and intricate grooves, has cemented him as one of the most exciting talents in the scene.

His most recent release features on Happiness Therapy's Happy House Vol. 8 compilation, alongside artists like Berzingue, Aerial Boy, or Guchon.
