The Berlin-based Iranian DJ, producer, and ‘Ubersee Music’ label figurehead has had a number of heavyweight releases throughout the years on labels such as ‘Kompakt’, ‘Systematic Recordings’, and ‘Kling Klong’, and his ascendance to relevancy was finally confirmed, when his ground-breaking album 'Letting Go', hit the number one spot on Beatport towards the end of 2018.

The lead single, a collaboration with Ruede Hagelstein, was widely regarded as one of last year's best tracks, with Joris Voorn, Guy J, Adriatique, and Bebetta, all featuring it in their charts.

Born in Milan to Iranian parents, Ali Farahani began his introduction to music at age 6 learning to play the piano. He was about 12 when he encountered the beats of electronic music and the Italian Spaghetti House movement. And few years later, he started playing Afro-Cuban Percussion forming his passion for rhythm, which can still be felt through his music. 
Persian Dream was Ali's first production, which was released in 2007 through Sound Division (ITA) in collaboration with a dear friend, Marco Bonuso, with whom he had formed the group Sample Guys, and the well established Italian DJ, Giusy Consoli. The tunes of Persian Dream streamed through speakers around the world making its way to electronic charts for months. The success of Persian Dream led Ali to other releases in collaboration with successful DJs such as Le Follie de Pigalle resident DJ Aaron. "Don't Feel No Shame" released on Rock it Recordings (NYC USA), which had a remix by Workidz was n.6 on beatport overall chart for about 2 months. From then a lot of releases and gigs in Italy till his mid 20's when he began to shift his focus on other life matters. 
Eight years goes by and Ali's father passes away and with the encouragement of his wife, Ali begins to channel his grief through music and once again awakens the rhythms in his spirit.
Now residing in Los Angeles, he regularly plays Afro Cuban Percussion with the great jazz singer Ziba Shirazi while also producing electronic music on Audiophile — Endless Music — Big Mama House and other international labels. Ali's podcast "Reckless" can be founded streaming every Wednesday on Soundcloud.
