The main melody of this had been going round in my head and I knew exactly what sound I wanted for this so on a wing and a prayer, this was made. I wanted that kind of '70s'  vibe with having more 'acoustic' instrumentation but have a few Moog synths thrown in too, to kind of pay homage to those obscure electronic albums of the 60s-80s. 

Jean-Jacques Perrey was probably my main inspiration for this as well as a few things I've done in the past. Definetly want to try more jazzy pieces though, this was fun.

It's a Thomas styled remix of the famous Funiculi Funicula by Luigi Denza which has been christened as 'Pizza Theme' which had a rendition used in the classic Spider Man 2 PS2 game.

Angry Video Game Nerd Theme (Remastered)

This was inspired a lot by AquaMIDI's brilliant remaster of the original soundtrack in a fresh but nostalgic format. As usual, I also like to put an 80s twist on things but here I was inspired by the DiC cartoons again. I wanted to have that kind of 'used in a sequence in the show' sound so I stuck the original arrangement and wrote a bridge inspired by one of the later remixes of the song.

As a boy in Raymond, Nebraska, Philip Brey was captivated by the Union Pacific freight trains that rumbled through town a stone’s throw from his house. Since early childhood, he was a passionate lover of trains with a special fondness for UP. On some occasions, he would see one of UP’s renowned “9000” series steam locomotives thunder through town. The sight of a massive “9000”,  as it was affectionately referred to, with its definitive 4-12-2 wheel arrangement, was a grand event for him and the other townspeople, leaving indelible memories that have only grown stronger in the ensuing years.
