Alpár aka Hungarian Bálint Zalkai, is the co-founder of ‘Farbwechsel’, the Budapest based record label, and his own recordings of electronic compositions (often built upon random looping sequencers in a minimalist style) are key to the label’s release output thus far. His goal as he sees it is to “catch a random pattern, loop it and build up a piece with that randomly pulsing theme. Just let to flow the voltages and sound waves and try not to disturb them or change their basic behaviours”.

The two tracks here were recorded with this approach very much in mind. The atmosphere of 'Mejiro' is “not unlike a bird observation. Attempting to find the right spot, getting closer and closer to the bird, which almost controls you and your movements as you attempt to near it”. Whereas 'Wakayama' is a more direct piece, and maybe the most melodic song Alpár ever recorded. While 'Mejiro' is a woozy, cautious piece, ‘Wakayama’ is like a tropical fruit or the ume, (the japanese apricot); colourful and full of flavour yet -with thanks to- the slowly humming theme in the background, an element of sourness grips you at the back of your tongue as it ends!

Yialmelic Frequencies is a project born from the exploration of alien origins in its producer, Diva Dompé. Receiving visions of another dimension since childhood, and meeting these visions with conflicting feelings of wonder, desire, and fear, Diva started creating Guided Meditations as a safe space to explore this cosmic relationship. Yialmelic Frequencies harvests the collection of instrumentals originally made to accompany these meditations, now to be enjoyed as their own sonic journeys. 

What Diva found from creating these meditations was Yialmel: a place that radiates with Love and Harmony, where Matter, Energy and Consciousness exist along one gradient of manifest form. Where all manifest matter has consciousness and all of these consciousnesses collaborate in interaction. Where desire, attention, and love are valuable units of exchange. This is a place where Diva simultaneously exists while also fulfilling the role of Human on Planet Earth. In her role on Yialmel, she is a guardian of the Infinite Love Source and creator of Resonant Frequency Sculptures, similar to her role of manipulating frequency on earth in the form of sound. 

Yililok is the second release from Yialmelic Frequencies, which is forthcoming on Leaving Records alongside a cassette compendium that also includes the first release Zjumk. Each trek into Yialmel can vary wildly, ranging from bucolic and alien nature scenes to cerebral transmissions from the future. Volume 2's "Auric Massage" delivers its title literally, a tactile, evocative meditation that tingles and relaxes while gliding through a string of pulsating, decidedly futuristic washes of whirring synthesizers. Focusing on the tonal, ASMR-tinged groundwork of Yialmel yields a deeply personal journal of peaceful self discovery.

Natasha Kmeto announces her return, bringing her singular sound back to fans with the release of her third full-length album, "you’ve never danced alone". The forthcoming album is her first full-length album release since 2015 and is due on Sept. 25, 2020.

Kmeto wrote, recorded, performed, engineered and mixed "you’ve never danced alone" in her studio in Portland, OR. It was mastered at Breakpoint Mastering in Portland, OR.

The album is composed of 11 tracks and ranges from bittersweet love songs like “nothing forever” and “she found me” to soulful dance tracks like “trust issues” and the title track “you’ve never danced alone”.

Since her last full-length release “Inevitable”, Kmeto's sound remains emotionally driven yet more grounded and assured. The songs are inspired by major life changes including a divorce, finding new love, exploring sobriety and re-connecting with forgotten ancestry. Writes Kmeto: “This album is a snapshot of my life at a very tumultuous time... the album progresses as my life did... creating this helped me gain a deeper understanding of myself…”

Sonically, the album draws influence from minimal techno, house, IDM and dark wave. “I wanted to return to a more minimal style of composition, more reminiscent of my first album," continues Kmeto. "I’ve always believed firmly in the power of negative space to really highlight what’s most exciting about sound and vibration.”

Each track has a unique story of its own but the album centers itself around what Kmeto has become known for: emotional, intimate and soulful music that roots itself in honest self-exploration.
