After the release of their debut EP “Nowhere”, the Venice-based duo Straahl is ready to release a new single: “Robotic”, in collaboration with the Los Angeles-based rapper A-F-R-O. Pure electronic music meets Hip-hop, where the rhythmic vocal matches the acid bassline in a very unique way. “Robotic” starts whit a fast arpeggio of a violin that introduces the deep and booming A-F-R-O’s voice, a growing structure culminating with massive brass chords.

Cry in the Dark tells of a journey into the intimacy of the soul, outlining the moment in which an individual detaches himself from the world to undertake a profound and evocative inner journey, an escape from a sense of loneliness imposed by society.
This song embodies loneliness, anger, and turmoil, exploring and revealing a wide range of emotions and mental states of the protagonist. Sensations of suffering, a gradual draining of energy, and profound disappointment emerge.
At the same time, a liberating anger manifests itself, an outburst full of determination, character, and a charismatic will that guides the character. Therefore, the protagonist is ready to embark on his journey, aware of the challenges that await him.

The energy of R Reed's voice blends with the power of the synthesizers in a harmonious intertwining, maintaining a perfect balance without ever overwhelming each other. Nice People focuses on the portrait of an experience of isolation, in which the individual dissolves from external reality to escape a society perceived as sick, a society that limits his ideas, passions, and personal freedom. The inner journey thus becomes an exploration of unexplored territories, a path that reveals deep layers of the self, touching the darkest and most complex regions of the human being.

The tracks on the album are configured as distinctive stages of this journey, guiding the listener through a wide range of emotions, from the initial stages of fear, through anger, up to the sadness fueled by the awareness that, in the end, the individual is also intrinsically linked to the same society from which he tries to escape.
“Nice People” is an engaging musical work, a compelling sound narrative that reflects the internal conflict and ambivalence of the human being in the face of his world.
