We welcome Rachael Vinas a.k.a Rachspace for the ninety-first edition of the 'Deep In Mix' series.  

Hailing from the birthplace of Techno, Detroit, Rachael's journey into electronic music is rooted in her upbringing, steeped in the rich sounds of the Detroit and Chicago electronic music scene. Now calling Los Angeles, California home, Rachspace continues to explore and expand her distinctive music journey. Rachael's love affair with electronic music began at a young age, inspired by her father's constant playlists of techno and trance. This early exposure planted the seeds for her deep connection to music, a passion that has grown into an immersive artistic journey. Her music is not just about rhythm and beats; it's about crafting an emotional journey that transcends traditional genre boundaries.

In her sets, Rachael effortlessly weaves together Deep House, House, Minimal, and Deep Tech, curating music that connects with the listeners' energy and atmosphere. She describes her sets as a “flowy mix” that adapts to the environment and audience, transporting listeners on a captivating sonic adventure. She has graced the decks in clubs across Los Angeles and San Diego, and while she's yet to take the stage at a festival, her reputation is steadily growing. Her influences span legends from the Detroit scene like Stacey Pullen and Delano Smith, to present-day artists such as Yokoo, Silat Beski, Traumer, Chad Andrew, Haider Uppal, and Zone+. These artists have shaped her sound, providing inspiration and fueling her passion for creating music that resonates with both heart and mind.

As a resident artist on the Chicago x Detroit Collective label, Transit Station, Rachspace makes waves with her unique curation. Her recent features include appearances on Voices Radio, London and Mantissa Label, showcasing her talent to a global audience. With upcoming releases on The Inner Child Podcast from Quebec and Satya in November, Rachspace is poised to make an even bigger impact on the electronic music scene. Rachael invites her listeners on a musical journey, crafting an experience that starts with groovy, melodic vibes and crescendos into high-energy euphoria. Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here and this is my set from HATS (House & Techno Sounds) Productions at Kizuna on Brick Lane on the 8th November 2024. I had a great time opening up the launch event alongside JP aka Juan Pelazcano @jotadjok and Roku. Thank you Pablo for inviting me down to play and letting me play my full authentic sound. You lot are in for a treat with this 2 hour organic, tribal, progressive house journey and I finish it off with my most recent original production "Into The Unknown". The track is a very real culmination of everything going on in my life. It's been a tough few months to say the least and I don't know what's coming next, but I continue to remain my happy and hopeful self and I guess I poured that sentiment and feeling into the track. We got a great collabroation by Swiss born David Keno and German HRRSN on this soulful 2 tracker. This warm and crunchy package is destined to be played wherever the sun is shining and in the clubs that carries a deep, warm and soulful vibe.

Originals are spot on for the soulful heads + those poolside venues and early hours.
Robosonic and Gorge both deliver amazing remixes destined for the club plays and if you are not into the vocal work, they also provided us with some good old dub takes on the tracks.

This could have been divided into 2 great releases, but.....
We decided to go for 1 AMAZING release.

David Keno ft HRRSN - Sunshine/ A Compliment (Robosonic + Gorge Mixes)

Born in bear country on the Atnarko River in Northern Canada, Atnarko channels his inner bear as he deejays and produces hypnotic dance music straight from the heart of the beast. Atnarko is considered a legend of the underground house music scene in the south. He is known for his DJ sets that extend into the wee hours of the morning, taking adventurous partygoers deep into his musical den.

He also produced some of the early breaks records that defined the genre as it was emerging. These include the classic, “Tunnel Vision,” cited as an early influence by Maceo Plex, among others. As his career developed, he went on to produce many records and moved into other genres, most notably house and techno. With close to 200 releases appearing on a wide variety of labels, Atnarko’s paw prints are firmly planted in dance music.

His label, Infiltr8:Celebr8, continues to set the pace for underground events in Orlando, booking dance music friends and heroes with great success, expanding, and elevating the city’s culture. He continues to walk this path, playing and producing music he loves, regardless of boundaries. Atnarko has told his musical story far and wide over his long career and he would love to tell it to you.
