The rise of Electronic music must have had an influence on numerous biographies in the early 90's. The new sound in the clubs also left its mark on Sven Tasnadi. 

Born in 1978 in Leipzig, he is one of the figureheads of his hometown’s extremely vivid club scene. In 1995, after innumerable clubbing nights, he was curious enough to learn deejaying himself. Through Acid House and Chicago House, he found his way to more minimalistic forms of House and Techno. It wasn’t long before he was being booked for gigs in Leipzig clubs. Soon he also had his first gigs outside of Leipzig – for instance at the legendary Tresor - Berlin. 

In addition to deejaying, Sven Tasnadi was also attracted to the idea of producing his own tracks. In the beginning his equipment was still relatively modest. However, over the past years, he has managed to create a studio setup that meets his standards. 

After several net label releases, the year 2005 marked a crucial turning point in his career. He met the renowned Leipzig-based producers and deejays Matthias Tanzmann and Daniel Stefanik. They quickly became friends, resulting in the first vinyl release on the Moon Harbour sub label Cargo Edition in 2007 – a collaboration with Daniel Stefanik. Soon afterwards his first artist EP was released, paving the way for further label contacts. Today Sven Tasnadi is considered a firm fixture in the German clubbing culture. His tracks have appeared on labels such as Cocoon Recordings, Smallville Records, Poker Flat Recordings, Liebe*Detail, Moon Harbour, Ornaments, Katermukke, Natura Viva, and of course in his very own Headfire International. 

Sven Väth was especially impressed by Tasnadi early on and licensed his track "Waiting For You Again" for his "Sound of Season" compilation. At the same time, he produced more than a dozen remixes for Steve Bug, Johannes Heil, Anja Schneider and others. 

Sven Tasnadi now has regular releases on Cargo Edition. As one of its most important artists, he has a considerable impact on the label’s sound. The positive response to Sven Tasnadi’s productions is also reflected in his deejay calendar – the numbers of sets is increasing every year. His gigs include parties at renowned clubs, such as the Cocoon Club in Frankfurt and Plastic People in London. In 2009 Tasnadi founded the label Oh! Yeah! together with Daniel Stefanik and Juno6. Managed on a friendship basis, this joint project once again pools the output of all three artists in a very special way. Sven Tasnadi has also developed a live set together with Juno6 that premiered at the Think! Open Air 2011 in Leipzig.

His first EPs was released on his homebase Moon Harbour Recordings, and in 2020 he founded his own label called Headfire International Recordings, featuring music by Beatamines, Steve Bug, Daniel Stefanik, Ron Deacon, Chris Di Perri, and many others.

◾How did you come up with your dj name (or why did you use your actual name): Friends usually call me by my last name and being that I’m a Tampa native I thought it was a good choice. 

◾How and when did you get into djing: Went to my first house night in 1991 called Aahz at the Beacham Theater in Orlando Florida. Took me some time to go from observer to participant but I would say the night that changed my life was in 1993 at the legendary Simons in Gainesville Florida. Took E for the first time on a dancefloor and was taken to the house music promised land. The lineup was Laurent Garnier, DJ Three and DJ Chang. I was one of three others that stayed til the last song. A year later I bought my first pair of 1200s with a radio shack mixer. DJ Three went with me on the purchase and helped me get set up. The next day DJ Matty came over to show me the ropes. The start of an incredible journey had begun being a dj/promoter for close to 30 years now. Out of the 30 years ive been professional for about 23 of them including currently. Underground music only!

◾Who are your musical influences and what is your inspiration: As for DJ influences go that’s an easy one. DJ Three, Doc Martin, Derrick May, Derrick Carter, Danny T, and Laurent Garnier. 

◾Describe your sound as a DJ: Well I’m not a genre dj so describing my sound is like describing my mood. It really depends on how I’m feeling and the room I’m playing for. I try my best to not be predictable. 
What’s consistent is the style in which I play. First and foremost for me are long mixes, smooth transitions and track selection. I keep the effects to a minimal and let the music do the talking. 

◾What does the future hold in store for you as an artist: A vinyl night with good friends, more gigs to travel to, more events in my hometown, and more mixes to make.

Born in bear country on the Atnarko River in Northern Canada, Atnarko channels his inner bear as he deejays and produces hypnotic dance music straight from the heart of the beast. Atnarko is considered a legend of the underground house music scene in the south. He is known for his DJ sets that extend into the wee hours of the morning, taking adventurous partygoers deep into his musical den.

He also produced some of the early breaks records that defined the genre as it was emerging. These include the classic, “Tunnel Vision,” cited as an early influence by Maceo Plex, among others. As his career developed, he went on to produce many records and moved into other genres, most notably house and techno. With close to 200 releases appearing on a wide variety of labels, Atnarko’s paw prints are firmly planted in dance music.

His label, Infiltr8:Celebr8, continues to set the pace for underground events in Orlando, booking dance music friends and heroes with great success, expanding, and elevating the city’s culture. He continues to walk this path, playing and producing music he loves, regardless of boundaries. Atnarko has told his musical story far and wide over his long career and he would love to tell it to you.
