This was recorded to cassette in Barossa Valley, Australia, Easter 1997.
I was working at a injection moulding plant and hated it! Why the Spanish part? I don't know! Anyway there was an organ in the house I was staying in with built in rhythm machine so I played guitar and sang with that in the background.

These are the things I would do if I was god, back in 1992!
Another 4c track recording using a tiny portable Yamaha keyboard!
Note! U2 were touring Zoo TV at the time and I guess I was heavily influenced by Achtung Baby and Pop on this track. The car is a Trabant that a friend brought back from Germany and I got him to photograph me posing in it outside a small little shop in the middle of the country that no longer sells stuff even though the building is still there!

IF I WAS GOD (24/12/92)

I heard this song on a cassette in 1981 and I loved the mysterious lyric.
It was sung by a relative and lo and behold he sang it at my Grandmother's wake in 1993. I actually recorded that on a dictaphone back then and I still have it. But searching for the original on the internet I found it on a Billy Connolly LP from 1979 called Rioteous Assembly. It's a great song even though it's in fact a murder ballad. This is my cover version of it that I spent most of today doing as I'm recording a collection country songs. Enjoy!

Started playing guitar and writing songs in 1986 and still writing and experimenting to this day. Has recorded and played live in rock band Radio Ancient in the 90s. Written and recorded lo-fi work under a number of names including Stanks, Dumfucs over the years. Play guitar, bass, percussion, keyboards and sings. Twanging the Tele in bars occasionally at weekends as part of a duo. Philosophy: Sound is music and music is sound!
