On the day this track was written, I caught a big, fat spider that had just squeezed through my (old) living room window when I entered the room around midday. 

Since it was an ice-cold and completely rainy winter day, I decided to let the spider do its thing instead of catching it straight away (as I usually do) and throwing it off my balcony. 

I played music all afternoon, but I had to keep checking where the spider was and what it was doing because I'm not necessarily the biggest spider lover. 

Towards the evening the track was finished and the spider suddenly disappeared and I still have it to this day haven't seen it again lol

... I've been thinking about making my own vinyl for ages.
This year marks exactly thirty years of making music
and my AtOm_AnT currently sounds wilder than ever, 
so now was the perfect time to finally put this passion project into action.

When I'm not making music myself, I've been listening almost exclusively to vinyl 
for a long time now, and for my perfect "home listening experience," 
Albums or LPs are simply best. 
With a total playing time of around 40 minutes, the 33 RPM LP is, in my opinion, 
the perfect length for an album, which is why I ultimately chose this format.

The "DyNaBlAsTeR" LP will feature nine relatively short, very contemporary tracks, 
which I believe will make for an entertaining, melodic, and wild little IDM Album.

The sound sources used were exclusively my modular systems, 
my Prophet REV2/8 synth, and the Behringer Pro800.

The vinyl will be produced and mastered by HOFA, and if everything goes according to plan, 
I'll be able to announce an exact release date in a few weeks.

By the way, the album will initially be available exclusively on vinyl, 
I think an album like this deserves that much exclusivity these days. 

In any case, I'm incredibly excited to hold the first copy in my hands,
see you soon ;)

...I knew that some major chords also fit some minor pentatonic scales. 

Now I know exactly which ones, and basically, it's almost all of them if you have all the minor pentatonic scales at your disposal. 

And if you mostly play major chords with minor pentatonic scales, you basically end up with Latin jazz. 

And so, my modules can continue to improvise and generate completely independently in tune, as long as I pay attention to which major chord fits exactly which minor pentatonic scale. 

Fascinating :)

...I'm currently very inspired by Latin jazz piano, bossa nova, and the like. 
For weeks now, I've been playing minor pentatonic chords for hours almost every day. 

The chords are nothing new to me, but the fact that a minor pentatonic scale fits almost everything has opened up new avenues for me. 

I think I'll be busy with this for a while ;)
