prosophone proudly presents its third release: PSPN003, an immersive various artists 10-inch vinyl featuring four singular visions from across the experimental electronic spectrum : 

Opening the record, Eyot Tapes is a project by Alexander Green, best known for his main alias Boddika and as one half of Instra:mental. Eyot Tapes is a dense, humid dive into the depths of an imaginary world—an experimental journey blending tropical bird calls, intriguing melodies
and cassette-treated delay. A perfect, cinematic opener for the VA

Following this, Saphileaum, a modern sorcerer of percussion, invites us into his poetic and dreamlike tropical universe. Rostevan feels like a gentle and pleasant ride in a pagoda boat down an imaginary river.

The journey then shifts above the surface with Roe, Loop LF — the alias of London-based producer Caldera — feels like a breath of fresh air. Aquatic visions begin to surface, as percussions bubble up from the depths of the sea, carried by windy, textural currents.

Closing the release, 1too — also known as Cousin and Tunnel Dancers — delivers a breaky techno track infused with dub and house elements, bubbly textures, and tropical percussion. Sparkling elements emerge unpredictably, yet always harmoniously, creating a strangely relaxing atmosphere.

The record is now available on limited hand-stamped lathe-cut 10-inch vinyl and digital via Bandcamp. Full streaming available. As always: limited press, don’t sleep on it !

Interesting Results hails not from Rotterdam but that other place below sea level: New Orleans. As a lifelong lover of electro (and discordant noises in general) this playlist was thoughtfully curated from some of her favorite songs lately. She spent her teenage years exchanging mix tapes and CDs with friends and has been DJing on and off for over two decades starting with her local college radio station KLSU-FM where she co-hosted an electronic and experimental music show called the Kitchen Sink for three years. Her transition from vinyl to digital occurred only more recently though she has no plans to part with her record collection! While she is a high school teacher by day and a selector at heart, it is her love of dancing that most influenced her shift to DJing in club environments and the dancefloor is often where you’ll find her. Even still, she’s constantly scouring everywhere and anywhere for new tracks with the same fervor that a research scientist devotes time to their own field of study. While the electronic music scene in New Orleans might be small, it is quite special and steadily growing; here’s to hoping this mix might catch the attention of some of her favorite acts and help to bring them here! Please enjoy her sleep paralysis demon mix.

Harriet Franny opens the portal and kicks you straight through it. Known for her lightwork with Matilda AV and the rave cult collective IT, she’s been bending time and frying retinas across North America. If wormholes had architects, she'd be drawing the blueprints in strobe.

But don’t get it twisted - behind the decks, she’s just as deadly.

Her ARC mix comes in swinging: screamo chaos at the gates, full-body EBM hypnosis through the middle, and a final descent into acid-drenched ravecore. It's dark, seductive, and soaked in dancefloor sweat - built for bodies moving through the haze of a club. 
She gave goth ARC daddy Nick (yes, I’m contractually obligated to call him that) a serious run for his throne at Leland. We’re beyond hyped to welcome her into the fold.

For the first time collaborating on a mix, Camu and Joan Gila crafted this set for Temple 08 "world of echo", a series of deep listening events curated by Josephine and Camu himself at Espacio Perpendicular. 

The mix drifts through a landscape of minimalism, ambient waves, shamanic echoes, and deep, textural drones - an immersive journey through layers of sound.

Stop (Imperialist Pop)

“Resonant Body”, the third studio album by Octo Octa (Maya Bouldry-Morrison), is her most spiritual and nature--connected work. Maya recorded the songs at her cabin in New Hampshire inorder to channel the resonance of the forest, the beauty of the river, and the energy from the rituals she conducts within it. The album was written and produced at the end of December 2018—after a year of near constant touring—in order to process through art an intense and magical year of change. 

“Resonant Body” is the second release on T4T LUV NRG, the label co-run by Maya and her partner Eris Drew. It draws on the same themes of togetherness (“Power To The People”), embodiment (“Spin Girl, Let’s Activate!”), love (“Deep Connections”), healing (“My Body Is Power”) and survival (“Can You See Me?”) that animated her acclaimed “For Lover’s EP” (Technicolour, 2019). The album’s art was created by Maya’s partner Brooke, who painted two canvases after a magical day-trip Brooke, Eris, and Maya took earlier this year on the “Sweet Trail” in New Hampshire. 

Octo Octa’s live performances and DJ sets are known for calling the dancers to move their bodies to a message of love. The dancefloor can be for all of us. It is a communal space that can provide healing when respected, where the dancers can actualize if they can let go and embrace themselves and each other. When we engage with music that heals, through dance or deep listening, we use an ancient technology for its original purpose. Octo Octa believes in the healing power of her music. “Resonant Body” transforms her life and intentions into healing art. 

50% of the profits from the album will be donated to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP), which works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine their gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination, or violence.
