Matiasu adalah duo gitar-drum yang memainkan musik doom metal, stoner metal juga eksperimental dari Jakarta, dipengaruhi kuat oleh heavy metal awal dekade 70’s seperti Black Sabbath, heavy metal 80’s, juga Heavy Metal era 90’s seperti Electric Wizard dan Sleep. Dengan karakter musik bersound tebal,heavy, berat, lambat, dan depresif. 

Berawal dari perpisahan dengan band terdahulunya, Horse Power, Iqra (Gitar) dan Haris (Drum) yang menggilai musik doom, psychedelic dan penggemar Black Sabbath, kemudian mereka melakukan serangkaian jamming di studio dan memainkan lagu-lagu dari para influensnya hingga memutuskan untuk serius dan menamakan diri ‘Matiasu’ pada September 2011.

Since their inception in 2011, ATOMGA has continued to be a refreshing staple in the Colorado music circuit. Celebrating 12 years as a band and 12 years of creating a unique brand of afrobeat music infused with elements of jazz, rock, hip hop, and funk. Using this foundation, they are able to build polyrhythms which always get their audience moving!

Through the years, ATOMGA has had remixes by artists such as Grant Phabao at Paris DJ's in Paris, France and Craig Welsch at Rear Window Studio in Boston. They also have a gold medal winning beer named after them in Curitiba, Brazil from Bodebrown which is served periodically at Banded Oak Brewing Company in Denver. ATOMGA has supported afrobeat icons Femi Kuti and the Positive Force and Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 from Nigeria and many nationally touring bands. ATOMGA is signed onto the roster of Color Red record label.  Eleven years in and ATOMGA shows no sign of slowing down.

ATOMGA is constantly evolving their sound through layered compositions of high energy music that will get your blood moving and the sweat pouring down! Their latest releases from Color Red show a new side to the band with a certain musicality that highlights each of the band members while voicing lyrical messages which are tasteful and socially conscious. ATOMGA has a reputation for live performances which provide a fun filled dance party for all ages and all walks of life.
