Drummer Conan The Barbarian's showcase on vocals. Originally, the song was JJC's brainchild, tapping into his own experiences, while Raven came up with the song's bassline (a favorite of her's). It was written one erratic New York Spring, when it could be 80 degrees one day and then snow the next day. The deeper meaning of the song is up to interpretation.

To answer your first question, yes it's named after the Legend of Zelda game. One of Atomic Rod's "Newer" tunes, JJC morphed a Led Zeppelin 12-string guitar riff with some a Nirvana-style vocal. Raven added the grungy bridge to complete the tune.

Years after their initial breakup, JJC was inspired listening to some old-school R&B thinking about his ex-bandmate Raven Jones. Cut to their reunion, JJC played Raven the ballad he wrote for her on piano, which she contributed ideas to: their first collaboration together in ten years.

JJC daydreamed about Atomic Rod "Making it" to the point of obsession. Taking a page from his grunge influence, Jeff wrote Daydream Away about the state of the post 9/11 world and more notably his own insecurity.

Their guitarist, JJC, has been a struggling artist all this time. This song took influence with many subjects, from growing up in the post 9/11 landscape to keeping a feuding rock band together.
