Sweden's Ludvig Cimbrelius aka Alveol has been developing a catalog of beautifully expressive electronic compositions for over a decade. With Alveol's third full-length album, the long-awaited Every Now is a New Beginning, he delivers a body of work that moves us into new worlds of sound and thought. The title makes a clear statement – this is an album about letting go of past limitations, fearlessly embracing the present moment and reshaping the future. Alveol's productions push the boundaries of house and techno through a diverse array of sonic textures, allowing for deep travels into the inner cosmos, be it at home or in the club. Always reaching for new combinations of sounds, Alveol sees his musical creations as vibrational vessels to more expansive states of being.

Everything was generated using Voltage Modular and a lot of effects. There are two randomly generated sequenced elements where the note information was converted to MIDI and sent from Voltage to a couple of instances of Dreamsynth then to further effects.

Julian Stetter might be best known as ‘one half of the electronic pop duo VIMES’, but he is no stranger to the Cologne club scene. His debut EP ‘Insides’ stems from a long history of djing and organising underground parties across the city. A resident DJ and collaborator at Cologne’s famed JackWho club, it was these surroundings that drove Stetter to dive deep into producing. His first solo project is now set to be released on the label PNN. It features three tracks plus a remix by Beyou. Stetter’s sound is polished and the precise production of each three tracks make this EP feel far from debut. ‘Emily’ is the first track set to be released this Friday. It draws you in on shimmering waves that rise and break into a deeper and spacier sound. Warm beats are interjected with random snippets of whale song. Listening to Emily feels like receiving a welcome hug at an after party.

I took the drums out of the original track which was released on Traum some time ago, and I think it's actually a lot more true to the style of the piece this way. This ambient version was initially released as part of "Series" on itunes exclusive, but is now on full release on all platforms in the Empirisch EP because people kept asking where they could buy the wav!

This was an attempt to make an enveloping wash of sounds to drown in. It started as a techno track but I realised it worked best without drums to get down to what it's really all about. It was released on Traum a while ago, but I just stumbled across it today and it seemed to suit my mood so I thought I better put it on soundcloud.

The artwork is a scan of a dried flower by my friend Ben Slater (http://www.behance.net/benslater), which I adjusted the colours on to make all saturated and purple. It's from the same set of scans that Ben used to make my Expressions EP artwork - still my favourite release artwork to date for sure.

soundcloud.com/Gidgeofficial consists of Jonatan Nilsson and Ludvig Stolterman, who were born and raised outside of Umeå, a small city in northern Sweden. Their main source of inspiration is the vast, snow covered woodlands of the North. They have for instance recorded all of their percussions in the forest, using only the sticks and rocks that can be found there. Gidge are currently located in Paris, where they have been developing their live performance for the last six months or so.

’For Seoul’ came about after the duo went on a trip through Asia, and spent a number of days in the South Korean capital. They fell in love with Seoul, and later on created this two-part hymn for the giant city.
