According to his twitter bio, Nick Koenig aka Hot Sugar is the most #Intimate & #Romantic artist of 2013. Making music from field recordings, the NY producer self-released his latest EP featuring appearances from Heems, Kool AD and Antwon. We asked him to take a break from making his album and get his mystical mix on for i-D. Primarily instrumental, this mixtape will more than likely invoke nightly nightmares. In recent times he has impressed with his immersive live show, launched his label VIAVIA, hosted his own events and joined a new group A# to further explore improvised live experiments together with a group of friends.

Invisible Lands comes with original artwork drawn by Koen Taselaar. Taselaar’s visual language emerges from the grey area where text is not only meaning but also form. He expresses this in drawn puns, imaginary record sleeves, and large psychedelic paintings. An accomplished visual artist, he has been nominated for the Volkskrant Beeldende Kunstprijs and had a solo exhibition at the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam.
