Excited to have good friend Ashley Wild providing us with the next instalment to Dilate Records.

Kiki (Bpitch, Crosstown Rebels) & Geddes (Tsuba) finish off this outstanding release. 

Ashley Wild has produced a masterpiece with stong rhythmic pads, deep lying bass notes and tranquil but haunting synth line.

The remix from Kiki has been executed perfectly, he uses all elements of his knowledge to create a purely mesmerising piece of music. The quality of sound and clever writing structure is something to be admired offering a gem for peak time sets.

The final piece to this well rounded EP comes from Geddes. His remix has a definitive old house style sound, but also a driving deep vibe with a lot of energy from start to finish.

Romanian DJ/producer BOg returns on John Digweed’s legendary Bedrock imprint with his single, ‘Rakuten’. With releases on Crosstown Rebels, Bedrock Records and a upcoming release on Get Physical, this 24 years young artist already managed to get himself a respected place in the international house scene. 

‘Rakuten’ perfectly showcases what the young Romanian is capable of. A dreamy 9 minute storyteller which slowly builds to it’s peak. It’s easy to hear why this track get's heavily played by John Digweed himself. Already released on vinyl, the digital release is set for the 17th of July on Bedrock Records.

Heather Woods Broderick has played in Efterklang, Horse Feathers, the live bands of Laura Gibson, Lisa Hannigan, and Damien Jurado, and has also been Sharon Van Etten’s longtime collaborator and bandmate.  While this list may seem enviable for an aspiring young musician, any experienced player will know that the life of a touring musician comes with its own sacrifices.  Lasting relationships and financial certainty can be tenuous, as can mental stability itself.  Feeling this firsthand, Heather traded her usual launchpad of Brooklyn for the sleepy town of Pacific City, where she would quietly take a job cleaning houses, sitting down at the piano in the off-hours to unpack the personal tragedies and triumphs of the intervening decades since her first trips there as a child.

Invitation is an album of dreamy baroque-pop that swells and whispers with grand string arrangements, and intimate lyrics, built around earnest piano melodies, painting a lifelike picture of the locale in which it was written.  However, it’s not about the epic and beautiful physical features of the Pacific northwest seaside.  Rather, it’s about how the stillness of such settings can unearth the disquiet often buried by the infinite distractions of a life without pause.

A core member of the Oberbaumbrücke family delivers a sleek label debut.

As the club’s technician, Joris Biesmans (aka Biesmans) has been an invaluable fixture at Watergate for the last five years. A true audiophile, when he’s not tuning WG’s soundsystem to perfection, he’s building modular synths and honing his studio craft.

Having recently quit his technician job to focus on making music full time, he’s a new addition to the WG agency roster and follows suits with an impressive debut EP on the label, after releases on Correspondent, AEON and Adana Twins’ TAU. The title track ‘Electric Love’ is a chugging slice of electro, marked by lush key progressions and an attitude-drenched vox from newcomer Idorski. Marvin & Guy Amplifier are tapped for remix duties and inject the original with a celestial melody line primed for end-of- night moments. ‘Technician on a Mission’ is driven by a polished bassline that modulates throughout, while 80s synths give it a retro-future stamp. ‘City Boy’ is a modern day synthwave gem, reinforcing the breadth of sound espoused by Watergate Records.
