After the success of the first edition in 2016, we decided to make Unfold and ongoing Various Artists compilation series. The second volume is another carefully curated mix of new label signings and more established names. The nine stylish tracks cover lush deepness, silky synths and hooky melodies that provide a real listening experience, no matter the context.

The first volume of Unfold featured the likes of Applescal's 'Harmony Two,' which became a big hit with DJs and has since influenced the more club-focused sound of the label. As such, the music on this collection has one foot on the dance floor, but comes with richly layered arrangements and proper songwriting that works just as well at home, in headphones, or anywhere else. Whether driving and late-night or more sun-kissed and airy, the sounds of Unfold are all indicative of the wider output on Atomnation. It is a label that deals in music for dancing, but also thinking and feeling.

The new artists here include NOCUI with his lush piano house, Awe Kid's gurgling grooves and heavenly melodies and Argia's clean, trance-inducing sounds. Label boss Applescal's 'Annie' is an uplifting synth jam with his partner, while Sky Civilian's 'Calle Electra' is a catchy piece of clean avant-pop. Both Milio and boys be kko bring star-gazing gems taken from their upcoming albums on this label. The rolling depths of new artists Lex Ludlow and Blomfelt & Narby bring this collection of sounds way beyond the dance floor - Unfold is packed with fresh new music and grooves laden with spine-tingling emotion.

14th of April marks the day that Painting VR go’s multiuser, making it easier accessible. This seemed like a good moment for Reinhard Vanbergen to inspire an entire album around this new technology. This single also announces an album also to be released in Painting VR. Everybody knows vinyl, cd’s or cassettes and its corresponding players. But in a virtual world, all these rules and limitations are gone. A music player can be a pan with water, while the format can be a frog that you must boil in order to hear music… Or is there no longer a format?? Scary questions that will be resolved on the 7th of June. For those that are too scared: you can also find this single on all ‘normal’ digital platforms.

Lost & Found deliver the long-awaited, highly anticipated remix package for Khen's 'One Day Of Independence' LP this week. It's a stacked line-up on the release with label boss Guy J himself, Lehar, Luca Bachetti, Termoment and rising star Patrice Baumel all turning in their own takes on cuts from the album. Baumel, who's seized major attention with releases on the likes of Kompakt and Anjunadeep over the last year, provides a sleek, smooth, synth-laden roller for the occasion, taking the original track up a notch in intensity. We're very excited to present the remix in full premiere today :)

In the words of the Amsterdam-based producer himself, Baumel explained "I consider Khen one of the most promising new artists in electronic dance music and was blown away by his album. The beauty of “Land of Goshen” lies in his melodic arrangement. I wanted the remix to respect the original and just gave it the club treatment it needed to beam people into outer space.”
