10 is a number that looks very nice. Fresh and friendly it says: „Hey Hello, look, now we are two“ ...the 1 and the 0. The binary base of your civilization. Somehow we got the feeling, we should honor this. Why so ever, lets just do it, because it is beautiful, beacuse our music that we record and produce is also just a binary code, transforming over and over again, from our fingers on the synths, from the mic to the mixer, from the mixer into space, back on black plastics or bluetoothing through your walls directly in your ear...and this just because there is a 1 and a 0. This is why we celebrate, to say thank you to these magic numbers. Without these two little friends we would drum our techno with bones in analog caves. Naked. Oh Wait...that sounds great...the URSL Cave Raves. Mmmmh...well we will keep you in the loop on this new project. Landing next on A Tribe Called Kotori is Spanish born, Germany based producer Bonfante. Schooled to the warm, suave traditional sounds of her homeland, the Kamai Music co-founder and 3000Grad resident plugs into our catalogue with the balearic-infused “Fallen Stars” EP - a three-track ode to a slower, kinder, more soulful kind of lifestyle and multi-strain blender of rhythms. 

Fusing electro-acoustic oneirism with a debonair polyrhythmic swagger, “Fallen Stars” swings and whirls like a slo-burning Latin-jazz jam, blended with a stealth bass drive, processed pop tropes and cosmo-folk accents. “Hidden Ground” shows off a more straightforward club attack without letting go of that syncopated groove signature of hers, dextrously moving the cursor from teeming sub-scapes to blazing bass flights. 

Rounding off the package, “Shall We Begin” is a further intricate paradox of altered machine gargles on a drip-tease flex and brittle, textures-splattered sound design. Continually evolving with every bar, it remains a cohesively riveting tableau, harbouring a noria of micro-realities over the course of seven painstakingly sculpted minutes of ethereal and vibrant, non-formulaic dance music.

In gratitude, the king presented the entire village with gifts of seeds and farming equipment that brought more prosperity than any reward of gold and jade. Maybe this was the place. Ernest Oh belongs to a place where animals can speak and trees are made of poetry. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These three tracks can take you to the skies and far beyond. Dennis Allen, RIEL, Yassine H and Yusuf Lemone are the travelers of the plane to the land of modern times.
