New York based producer, Atropolis, announces the release of his new EP. Shuffle Mode is set for release on September 28, 2018 on the Cumba Mela imprint. Shuffle Mode encompasses Atropolis’ journey over the years of releasing, performing, teaching, and spending his youth among the diverse music scene of New York City. Taking close to 3 years to complete, each track has its own time, place, story, and sound.  Atropolis states, “This EP is a collection of intimate collaborations, it feels like a playlist on shuffle mode, a reflection of how music is being experienced by the masses.”

This song reflects a bit of a sad journey from the hope of mutual feelings to the disillusionment of being cast to the margins of a life of another except in moments that are convenient for them. Atropolis represents a sonic city of transcultural boom. A native of New York, his blood blends the village heat of Cyprus, the lore of Northern Europe, and the mysticism of the Maori. Stirring with a degree in composition, Atropolis mixes trained expression in classical piano and jazz guitar in a pot of ethnomusicology. His alchemical fusion transcends over dance floors, grounding ears in the rhythms of their global body.
