Written about the 2015 shooting at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, SC. 

This song emerged from pain and grief, but what came out was a meditation on loss and hope. With this composition I seek to offer a musical prayer to the Charleston community and to all families who have been affected by gun violence.
