Abby Power is a 22 year old female rapper and singer from London, U.K. Abby, at the age of 15 started off writing Def Jam style poetry heavily influenced by the likes of Shihan, Eryka Badu, Lauryn Hill etc before deciding it would be a good idea to try her hand at songwriting.
Abby’s music is a mix of old and new school hip hop and is always conscious in some form or another. Since starting, Abby has collaborated with the likes of Genesis Elijah, Shihan, and Courtney Bennett, and has featured in the UK music magazine UKB and has even received compliments on her voice from singer/songwriter Skylar Grey (writer of Love the way you lie for Eminem and Rihanna). Abby has been featured on radio shows such as BBC 1Xtra, Rinse FM & Pulse88.
Abby, as well as having loyal fans from the UK, has a good following from America, and has even had one of the topped viewed videos ever on New York music website ExposedVocals.com as well as featuring in one of their album releases.
Originally signed to Vintage State, Abby is now an independent artist that works closely with friends to record her music. On Tuesday April 12, 2016 she will be featured on ON THE RISE RADIO’S “THE CONFERENCE CALL” hosted by Boss Lady Attica Lundy and Queen Ifeelya and their friends Cassious Izreal and Peppermint Patty.
