one I’ve had sitting around for a while that never found a home.  a 2019 idea and this is a 2020 print.  I’ve put it in a couple sets but mostly listen to it biking or running.

Her Archipelago

For my track used to the silence I built it off this core idea.  I usually have a chord progression or something that I just let play and improvise over it with different lead sounds and Melodies until I find something I feel fits the bigger picture.  This is the session where I found that breakdown melody

i write tons of these over months then find the few chord progressions and melodies that feel like they've got a personality to explore.  in hindsight i think it's actually solid compositionally, a reminder of a 'what if' should i have chosen this kind of path as a musician.

it needed an 'elevating' quality - punchier and more confident or a great vocal with this piece as the 'floor to stand on' for the vocalist, but again it just hadn't felt right at any stage.  maybe there's a perspective on it im missing

undone instrumental

the first scratch at an idea i've really felt close to, but have writting like 10 tracks with full production and dance structure around it and honestly just never felt the emotional resonance to this first demo.  pretty, sloppy, from the heart.  "jeff style"  jon (ashe) always gave me confidence in this one.
