[!WIP!] Sonic Adventure Suite Op. 1 No. 3 >> Green Forest / Sonic X / E-102 / Big the Cat

My composer friend Joshua Vickers paid me to combine elements of Megaman, Pokémon, Zelda, and his own works. The main motif is from Vickers' original Megaman-style composition, Bassman X, which uses his signature low and thick harmonies: https://soundcloud.com/user-370363424/bassman-x

In this suite you'll hear songs from each franchise, oddly new and old at the same time. This was accomplished by memorizing as many official songs as I could, and mentally separating the elements of their theory into the tiniest pieces I've ever worked with. It was almost a traumatic level of focus, hahaha. After mixing and matching elements, I used classical theory to "solve the disagreements" bit by bit, to create a product instead of a sum. For example, notes from Ganon's theme are combined with the iconic Megaman rhythm, creating new musical patterns to then roll into the red/blue wild pokémon alarm, which now has a new root note, inviting the Zelda "secret" jingle to go on top!

This semifinal version fades out at the end. The song will probably be complete in 2021. Icon by my videographer friend Travis Brideveaux.
