About a year ago I started writing a really melodic track. I was layering my vocals and was really happy with where it was headed but I felt like I needed someone with better lyrical and vocal skills to step in and really make the most of it. I asked KINLEY to spend a couple days in my studio and Never Coming Home was the result. She absolutely killed it, and after submitting it to the 2016 CBC Search Light we shopped it around to some labels. We had a couple offers but in the end we decided to put it out ourselves. With the support of our amazing fans and GalaxyMusic we hope to reach the ears and hearts of the world <3

Au5 opens up with “Any Longer,” an earthy, atmospheric bass track that sees his production chops shine through. The song creates a foundation of delicate piano melodies and propulsive percussive rhythms, all while creating a healthy dose of explosive dubstep during the drops. Au5’s production wizardry combines soft and subtle elements along with banging growly bass, the 2 worlds combine perfectly creating a lush pallet for Q’Aila’s smoky, provocative verses and energetic, soaring choruses.

Au5 (pronounced A-U-Five) is the solo project of Austin Collins - presenting a highly matured balance between intellectual, emotional, and danceable music. From hard hitting technical dubstep, uplifting melodic trance, psychedelic bass, experimental ambient music, and everything between, Au5 knows no boundaries for passionate musical exploration and expression. “A producer’s producer”.

Classically trained since age 4 and producing and performing since 13, Austin is a well rounded musician, visual artist, and educator. As an articulate public figure presenting unique artistic, scientific, and philosophical perspectives, he strives to better the world through inspiration - opening minds to what is possible not only within music but within ourselves.

From his debut album ‘Minimality’ in 2010 to now, Au5 has been consistent in quality and authenticity with a repertoire of nearly 200 released songs - many with multiple millions of plays. He's collaborated with legends BT, Tritonal, Slander, Mr. Bill, toured with acts such as Infected Mushroom, Liquid Stranger, Seven Lions, and has music released on numerous labels like Monstercat, Armada, Owsla, Enhanced, and Wakaan to name a few.
