Princeton Rejects is a moniker for multi-platinum VMA award winning dance producer Ian Carey. Under the name Princeton Rejects Ian journeys outside of the commercial realm and revisits the underground in which he came up musically. Having first been exposed to house music in the mid 1990's at Baltimore's legendary club The Paradox and NYC's The Shelter, Ian would hear DJ's such as Tony Humphries, Timmy Regisford, LIttle Louie Vega, Danny Krivit, and The Basement Boys which have influenced his own music deeply. Ian will be using the moniker as an outlet for all things deep and intelligent, a journey outside of the proverbial box. Having been obsessed with Ivy League schools and their corresponding secret societies at a young age, Ian chose the name as a reference to his own application to Princeton University being denied. He then settled for a lesser caliber University of Maryland from which he dropped out after 3 semesters to pursue his music career. Along with his aptly named, newly imprinted Liberated Records, Ian is looking forward to an outlet for releasing pure music without the interference of major label A&R's and the pressures of commercial viability.

Bingo Players - Knock You Out (Hardwell Remix)
Fellow Dutch #1 DJ and longtime Bingo Players supporter, Hardwell unveiled his latest remix for current single, ‘Knock You Out’ on one of the biggest dance podcasts in the world, ‘Hardwell On Air’ . 
 
The track premiered in HOA168 and comes off the five-track Bingo Players EP Knock You Out Remixes available on iTunes June 17th. The EP features additional remixes from Gorgon City, Champion and Flaxo. The Hardwell Remix is available on Beatport exclusively on June 2nd through Hysteria/Positiva Records.
 
Hardwell debuts the song following the video premiere for ‘Knock You Out’ which debuted last week onIdolator.com and is “an incredibly special song, as it was one of the songs Paul and I worked on together before he passed away,” said Bingo Players’ Maarten Hoogstraten. The video delivered with it a triumphant message about domestic abuse. The track is available for purchase now on iTunes.

Season’s Greetings!

Here’s a little gift I have for you guys! It's a mix I did for @Jiberish (jiberish.com). Check em’ out, they have some shweet stuff.

I gave this mix this name because as a Massachusetts native and now California resident, I’ve been so fucked up on what season it is haha. The change in weather and my living situation has messed with my internal clock. In an abstract way, it’s made me focus less on time and patterns, and focus more on the present moment. It’s actually quite liberating.

Aubergine MACHINE is a collaboration between world renowned multi-platinum selling producer Ian Carey and new-comer to the scene Shanti Ellis.  They formed the band in late 2012 after realizing their unique capability to create genre-blending electronic music.  Having both travelled the world in their own right while picking up many influences along the way, their mental catalog of music includes everything from pre-EDM electronica to the uber-current sounds of future bass. 
Ian’s very established in the international House Music scene and has visited more than 60 countries on tour sites. His production, while cutting edge but not alienating to new listeners, combines with Shanti's brand of indie-pop laced vocals to build a foundation of melodies that range from youthful to emotive and haunting.
