After on pause for the past year we can finally announce our first official release by SK Simeon & Au Contraire two outstanding artists from opposite sides of the world. Together they share with us their Global Music Anthem called ’Kigunda’ which plays off Sk’s animated Afro-Dancehall lyricisms over a bouncy earworm of a baseline & big Gqom-Inspired rave synths. “Kigunda” is a boastful lyric, which basically means that no matter where it lands in the world, the sound is loved by all. Whether it’s in NYC, Australia or Uganda, we’re confident this one will get the dance floor pumping. Bim!!

Hot on the heels of releases from Otik and Benjamin Muñoz, UK label @pushandrun's next EP comes courtesy of London producer and bootleg king @haganuk. While he's been a little quiet recently - his last release was the 'Lockdown' EP on Beat Werk back in Jan 2016 - we're told he's spent the time honing his sound and focusing on why he started making music in the first place, and yeah, it totally shows. Heading towards a more stripped-down, groove-focused sound, 'Roots' draws on global sounds such as afrobeat, baile funk and gqom as well as UK flavours like funky and grime.

The EP has already been receiving major support from the likes of Gilles Peterson and Toddla T, and we've got the premiere of killer closing track 'Aburi' - all throbbing bass and rattling drums, but with a precision and focus that marks it out as Hagan's best work yet.
