I was going through a messy breakup when I started writing this, and instead of making something sad, I flipped it. Wanted it to feel a lil' hip-hop cousin that vents through verses but still makes you wanna dance.

This song was in the process of being made while my mother and brothers were going through a really rough patch. Facing food insecurity and a collection of other problems due to where they lived. My mother passed before I could finish the song so I dedicate this song to her in hopes she’s still proud up there.
