I've been pretty enamored with Phillip D. Kicks' 'Drips' ever since the 'As We Continue' LP was released in 2020. So I figured I'd make a more beat-centric edit for my set at the Tipper Red Rocks show on August 6th 2021. . .Since then quite a few people asked about it, So I thought it might be nice to make it available as a freebie for a minute just in case anyone was still interested :)

It's taken 6 years but we finally launch remixes of tracks from AxH's classic 'Tokyo' EP originally released on Boka Records in 2018. Stepping up on remix duties are two absolute heavyweights of the dubstep scene - Kromestar and N-Type who both collectively took the controls to rework the tracks 'Tokyo' and 'Devilman' in a deep, hard and heavy style.

140 Budapest began as a Facebook group in 2016, created to unite local fans of dubstep. The community quickly grew, with well-known producers and emerging talents rising from its ranks, inspiring the idea to showcase this music through an official project. The first compilation dropped in 2020, and from there, we’ve continued to evolve.

Fast-forward to 2024 and the second compilation is set to drop on November 15! We’re thrilled to share that every part of this community-driven project—animations, album artwork, T-shirt designs—was crafted by group members themselves.

The 140BUDAPEST VOL 2 compilation presents tracks from eight artists, each capturing the essence of the original dubstep: growling basslines, deep and meditative rhythms, and tribal-infused elements!

Grateful to announce the first track of my more personal “Jake Penn” project. It’s been a fun journey to get back into writing and releasing music after almost 5 years. 

No Sleep is the weird ache felt when intrusive thoughts eat away at your life, health, and sleep.

It’s also a pretty sick combination of bass music and off-kilter garage beats.

Less Alone

The root chakra, or Muladhara, is the first of the seven main energy centers in the body. Located at the base of the spine, it is associated with grounding, safety, and our connection to the physical world. When balanced, it brings a sense of stability, security, and belonging. This track is  written in the musical note C , the note the root chakra resonates with and contains the bija (seed) mantra LAM, which can be chanted to help restore balance and vitality to this foundational energy center. This track is also tuned to the healing frequency of 432HZ.

Data B makes his full Codename: RCRDS debut with 'Deep Reflections EP', which provides a stunning showcase of this rising producers talents.

The EP opens with 'Elsewhere', a euphoric collaboration with label co-owner Moakz with spine-tingling pads and soaring leads entwined with rolling breaks and bass for a superb opener. The EP continues with the deep liquid roller 'Wakeup', full of crisp drums and chopped vocals, before moving into the glacial-tinged beauty of 'Change Your Mind'. This echoes the work of masters such as LSB with its introspective vocals, stunning strings and plucked guitars. The release then switches into another direction to close the EP for the crusty breaks and eerie vocals of the rolling 'Broken Window'.
