Working on this song definitely brought out a lot of amazing emotions. I hope it means as much to you all as it does to us. Surrendering is usually seen as something negative or a sign of defeat, but this song shows a different side of it. Sometimes it’s the fight that kills you. Sometimes you don’t even know what you’re fighting for. Sometimes surrendering can set you free.

Surrender

This track captures the anxious, internal monologue of someone in a relationship that ticks all the right boxes—approved by friends, loved by family—but feels completely empty inside. The lyrics paint a picture of playing the part of a happy partner while being torn apart. The song builds from a tense, guitar-driven verse into a massive, explosive rock chorus, mirroring the shift from quiet guilt to a raw, self-blaming scream. It's the story of becoming the villain in your own perfect fairytale because you can't force a feeling that isn't there.

A Damn Masterpiece

This was the first time I ever felt influenced to write vocals and sing on my own song. I wrote this track while I was at home in North Carolina last year and am really happy with how it turned out.
