For the acoustic takes, each microphone was recorded separately. 

Positioning:
The mics were placed pointing right where the neck of the guitar meets the body. The N22 was about 6 inches away, the N8 was about 12 inches away, and the R88 was about 14 inches away. This was not a scientific shoot out, but more a comparison for people to hear how each microphone has different characteristics and different sweet spots.

Mike Cottone is a trumpeter hailing from Rochester, NY with a seasoned education from Julliard, Eastman school of music, and the Thelonius Monk Institute.  He has played with the likes of Robin Thicke and Neil Diamond and has studied under legends such as Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock. He currently lives in Los Angeles.
