Urban Harmony (naviarhaiku351)

The Haiku is written by Darren Bourne aka Half Unusual. The words really inspired me to compose a piece of music. 
Haiku: 
'Urban chorus, 
harmonious tones,
uncomposed' 

I layered a number of field recordings of city soundscapes, some I made myself, one from Norwich city centre (my nearest city) and also a recording I made from Copenhagen in June 2017 but I also got one from Freesound.org by Klannkbeeld (sound from http://www.freesound.org/people/klankbeeld/) which is a city street recording in Netherlands. 

I fed these field recording into some effects and then improvised sounds / synths on top for a few hours, occasionally recording little bits. 
I then started to arrange the piece, adding drum sounds and other sounds till it started to take shapre. After a few more hours I was happy with the arrangement and consider it finished.

"Light is to the camera obscura as sound is to audio obscura." 
 
Odd electronics for the ears, making music covering the wide spectrums of electro-acoustic music, musique concrète, idm and occasional field recordings, with post-classical minimal leanings but beats and bass as well!.  Someone described it as "experimental easy-lsitening" which I like. 
For a while I collaborated as part of a collective under the name Sound Celestial Orchestra but that is no more!  (see, https://soundcloud.com/sound-celestial-orchestra)
I'm always keen on remixing other Soundcloud users and like a challenge.
