@madben: "This DJ mix was recorded at home with music I’ve been enjoying recently, plus I included a few unreleased tracks from myself. I went into doing this with a "podcast" purpose, so this isn't a peak time DJ set per say (you can check my SoundCloud page out for some live DJ mixes if you want that). I attempted to tell a special story about groove, melody and fit in a bit of mental techno for good measure. I hope you enjoy it!” 

We’ve been following this Rex Club resident for some time now and fell for his ability to deconstruct the best of the 90’s techno movement with a unique twist of melodic groove, then bring it together in a means that is both provocative and gracefully punishing. The fact that he’s been heavily supported by the likes of such champions as Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, SLAM, Emmanuel Top, John Digweed or Mark Taylor from Underground Resistance speaks volumes of his capability to reach beyond the ears of just the techno purists. 
Today, MADBEN has found a home with the legendary ASTROPOLIS imprint and will release a new full length in early 2018.

The formidable Franky Jones aka one of Bonzai's most prolific and revered family members is back with Part 2 of his sublime 2 part special 25 Years Bonzai mix. Having started his career as a Hip Hop DJ, Franky Jones (along with David Brants - Stephenson) rocked the very foundations of the dance music scene back in 1993 when they unleashed the mighty The First Rebirth. Since then Franky has enjoyed much success as a harder, faster DJ - he averages around 150 - 160 BPM in his more energetic sets. He is also highly respected for his contributions to Techno, Trance and Acid over the years and his own label Bangtraxx will definitely get the adrenaline flowing. Since his emergence in 2010, Madben's melodic, Detroit-inspired techno evolved, with various releases on Caduceus, Astropolis Records, Off Recordings, Inflyte and Bedrock. Nowadays, the Paris-based artist remains a key figure in France's new generation of techno producers, with an upcoming debut LP on Astropolis Records.  Swinging from atmospheric sounds to techno, Madben produces an alchemy of rave anthems, hardware material and groovy, emotional music. With support from France's favourite Laurent Garnier, Manu le Malin and Rebekah Warrior, Fréquence(s) unveils his skillfull, mature universe.

12 tracks compose the album. The opening 'Space Bubbles' carries a cinematic, ethereal touch designed for dancefloor, from dusk till dawn. 'Mouvement circulaire' sets out a slow hypnotic rythm, leading to "Narcotica" and its warm melodies. 'MG's Groove', produced with master Laurent Garnier uncovers Madben's house moves, percussive beats and distorted synths. 'Reminiscence' and 'Stripes' wink at Madben's earlier melodic techno inprints, while 'Don't Lose the Beat' uses old school vocal as the LP's boiling point. Modern techno vision is underlined with tracks such as 'Tom & Tom' and 'The Struggle', both waving between UK inspirations, aerial sounds and Ben's original signature. Featuring with Manu le Malin and Rebekah Warrior, ‘Grief, Dance to Death' stands out from the rest, swaying betwixt French vocals and rave spirit, whereas the album’s last piece, ‘Lunar Park’, ends the journey with a gripping ethereal melody.
